Should HR Intervene When Employees Overuse Payroll Advances? #EmployeeWellbeing #FinancialHealth #HRSupport Hey everyone! 😊 I'm reaching out as an HR Generalist working in the non-profit sector, and we've recently introduced a new service that allows our employees to “get paid when you want” through payroll deductions. Initially, I was thrilled to see such positive engagement, but after taking a closer look, I noticed something a bit concerning. 📊 The Situation: At least three employees have requested multiple payouts within the same payroll period. Additionally, one employee is juggling an outstanding loan alongside their payouts. Participants range from lower-paying public service roles to our corporate lawyer! This raises some questions for my team and me. 🤔 The Dilemma: My supervisor and I are unsure whether we should step in or let it be.
