Are You Stalling on Your Startup Idea? Discover If You're Ready! #StartupJourney #Procrastination #BuildingProducts #DataScience Hey everyone! 😊 So, I’ve been on this exciting (yet a bit stressful) journey, working on my startup concept, but I keep hitting delays. Every time I think I’m ready to dive in, I get caught up in this cycle of wanting to make things *perfect*. Delaying things because I feel like there’s always room for improvement or more learning I need to do can feel both productive and frustrating. Am I just procrastinating or genuinely trying to refine my idea? 🤔 Here’s where I think the problem lies: Perfectionism: The desire to have everything just right can be paralyzing. It’s easy to wait for that “perfect” moment or idea, but it may never come! Fear of Failure: Uncertainty about launching can stem from worries that it won’t succeed or that I haven’t done enough preparation. Information Overload: Especially in the realm of data science and machine learning, there’s so much to learn that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. L... Answers: https://lnkd.in/dp6rYpBz .

Unpopular opinion: Sometimes the best thing a founder can do is become a student again. After 2 years away from tech (maternity + startup life), I'm back studying ML/AI. The unexpected lessons so far: 1. Being a beginner again is humbling - just like early startup days 2. Tech evolves faster than we think - just like market trends 3. Learning feels SO different when you have skin in the game 4. The basics matter more than ever! 5. The best one: Everything connects back to business problems now! The plot twist? The same resilience that helps you build a business helps you rebuild your skills. To my fellow founders: What are you learning right now? #FounderLife #ContinuousLearning #TechEntrepreneur

As an early-stage startup founder, it’s easy to overdo data and analytics—but it’s not worth your time. Time is your most valuable resource, and I’ve seen many founders waste it on things that don’t matter early on. If you’re doing any of the following while building your product, it might be time to take a step back: - Tracking every possible user interaction right from the start - Setting up automation for trivial tasks - Using multiple analytics tools to gather insights - Trying to measure 100+ metrics - Spending too much time staring at numbers, hoping for answers, instead of experimenting, talking to users, or improving the product Data at this stage should serve: helping you quickly validate ideas, understand user behavior, test experiments, and figure out what’s working. That’s it. Don’t overcomplicate things. #product #startup #founder

🚀 Just Wrapped Up My Presentation on #Multiple_Linear_Regression for 50 Startups! 🚀 Yesterday, I had the chance to dive into the world of multiple linear regression and share insights on predicting startup profits. This was based on a data set of 50 startups, and uncovering those relationships between variables proved to be highly insightful. TBH, multiple linear regression is like uncovering the hidden magic between numbers. From R&D spend to marketing budgets, it’s all about showing how these elements impact profit (and why we should care!). 📊💸. This approach isn’t just theory; it’s a powerful way to make data-backed decisions in business. I walked through using techniques like #One-Hot_Encoding and #Column_Transformers to handle categorical data (think of it like categorizing items in a shopping cart!). Using #Pairplot, I mapped out relationships between variables, highlighting their combined impact on profits. I even created a user-friendly profit prediction tool—just plug in values like R&D spend or marketing budget, and bam—see your predicted profit! Finally, I measured accuracy with an #R² score. It’s all about transforming raw data into valuable insights! #DataScience #MultipleLinearRegression #StartupInsights #Milestone #IIITLUCKNOW

“The natural state of a startup is to die; most start-ups require multiple miracles in their early days to escape this fate.” – Sam Altman's blog; and I picked it up from one of Edith Yeung’s newsletter some time ago, thanks for sharing! It’s been almost a year since we found our position in the market at Creato – my primary task from beginning of this year has been to focus on growth. We’ve tried a couple of approaches and the results have been some thrilling roller-coaster rides, here are my key takeaways from Q1 2024: 1️⃣ Trust is our ultimate product – building trust and relationships with different stakeholders i.e. users and clients is far more important than what our product/service can currently offer, as product feature or users’ demand changes over time anyway. As long as our stakeholders are confident in us, we become invincible and the moat-like advantage would be naturally formed. 2️⃣ Forget growth for the moment - delivering values to customers and exceeding their expectations is the priority, be it solving the most trivial issues for them or simplifying their lives. Once we get the job done and done well, it will naturally lead to growth. 3️⃣ Focus on 1-2 core business metrics - so long as core metrics follow, the rest will follow. At Creato academy, retention and revenue are our core metrics and as long as the targets are being met, most problems became happy problems to solve. 🎩 Hats off to our team to keep the show going! Way to go. #genai #edtech #applying #ai #creativity #creatives #creato

Just sent out the latest RRS Newsletter! https://lnkd.in/eUtKvD9K In this issue I've been diving into Ilya Strebulaev and Alex Dang's "The Venture Mindset" and it's a game-changer. During my record-breaking 40 hours of flight time last week, I had plenty of time to absorb its insights. The book offers a wealth of knowledge on startup economics. My, very personal, biggest takeaways: - The startup team is of particular interest to VCs, and founders as well; - The authors refer to unattended checkout solutions as a prime example of investment-worthy cutting-edge technology; - Venture capitalists fear missing the next big winner (losing 10,000x) far more than losing their initial investment (1x); - Public engagement and promotion are crucial for building strong investor relations. Don't miss the newsletter articles from our incredible team members responsible for Sales, Data Science, and Customer Satisfaction - Dimitry Berulava, Andrei Kudriashov, ILYA ZELIKIN. If you're passionate about revolutionizing the restaurant industry, investing in AI, or simply love cutting-edge tech, our newsletter is for you. 🤔 Unpopular opinion: Your fancy product features are killing your startup. I had a fascinating conversation with a founder yesterday who spent six months building an AI-powered analytics dashboard. Do you know what their most successful customer uses? The basic CSV export function. Here's the hard truth: Your customers don't care about your roadmap. They care about solving their problem TODAY. Quick experiment I dare you to try: Strip away every "cool" feature. Launch with only what solves the core problem. Track how many customers complain. You might be shocked to discover how many features live rent-free in your product. Remember: Instant Pot didn't launch with 47 functions. They started with "Press button, make rice." ❓ Founders - what's your "press button, make rice" feature? Drop it in the comments. Let's see who's brave enough to embrace simplicity. #startups #customeronboarding #csadvantage

Want to see what metrics other startup People Leaders are measuring per stage? (Seed, Series A, Series B) Was doing some data analysis this morning in peoplemetrics.fyi and thought this was pretty interesting so threw together a heat-map (thanks Graphy) The values represent the % of peoplemetrics.fyi users (350+ startup CPOs) who actively track and benchmark that metric. No surprise that metrics like ENPS become more of a focus as a company grows, but i was a bit surprised by some of the other trends in focus...i would have expected folks at later stage to be more interested in ic:manager ratios for instance. Interesting! #peopleAnalytics
