💡⚡Just work wherever you work, Create value, Take money for it & Log Off - No Politics in workplaces 🙏😃 Live a private life & tell no one. Your privacy is your birth right. If anyone has to validate their life choices especially in personal life as a independent grown up making a living for self & family then maybe .. Idk. Ponder on these. Let professional life & personal be diff.Your professional life should have empathy and kindness like virtues for everyone coming to earn bread & butter for their family & self but should not consider making them a family. Your after office hours should feel like private daily vacations so that you dont need extra.Think over it. #workplaceethics #privatelife #professional #work #home #family #vacations #servantleaderCEO #weekendthoughts #beconten

Think you're on a break? Not if work keeps calling. How many of us, while on vacation, still answer emails or texts, or jump on a "quick" call while on the beach or a "must-attend" Zoom call at 2 AM in a time zone halfway across the world? As we swing into full summer mode and prepare for well-deserved vacations, what steps can you take to ensure smooth operations in your absence and allow you to fully disconnect from work? Here are some key boundaries to set before going on vacation: 🏖 Plan for Coverage: Clearly communicate with your peers and team about your unavailability and prepare a detailed plan for coverage during your absence. 🏖 Block Off your Calendar: Send an all-day calendar invite to relevant parties indicating your out-of-office status. 🏖 Alert Team for Recurring Meetings: Inform colleagues about your absence from recurring meetings and arrange for meeting recordings or notes. 🏖 Detailed Out-of-Office Notification: Craft a firm and professional out-of-office message, specifying contacts for urgent matters. 🏖 Send a Final Reminder: Remind your team and stakeholders of your vacation dates and unavailability a week before you leave. Taking a real vacation without work interruptions is crucial for maintaining energy, reducing burnout, and improving overall well-being. Completely disconnecting during a vacation ensures you return feeling refreshed, with improved engagement at work and at home. #WorkLifeBalance #DisconnectToReconnect #HealthyBoundaries

Who, me? Not. An. Expert. I've been away from the office for the last 10 days, working part-time while my family was on holiday at the coast. Gotta be honest: It didn't pan out the way I'd hoped. So here are some honest insights - not detailing why you should listen to me, or try to follow my example, or look to me for answers, but showing how I often don't know what the hell I'm doing. (Thanks muchly, Jonathan Brady, for the convo that sparked this post.) - I can't do part-time, half-day or split-session work, with vacationing and fun and excursions in between. I'm not built that way. I need longer periods of flow. - Holidays must happen in the absence of my laptop - otherwise I won't read. I took 4 books on holiday (enough to last me about 6 days); I managed to read half of one. In the car. While driving home from the holiday. - As a workaholic who's also a mom and wife, I spent the break: a) angry with myself for not getting through what I needed to, b) angry with my family for whining at me to finish, or c) angry with my clients for 'interrupting' my time off. - The best part of a vacation is lying in. Or, at least, having the option to lie in. Setting my alarm for 6am every morning so I could start work by 7am and finish by 11.30am? Not. Ideal. I was resentful as hell. I'll definitely think of other rants to add. In the interim, those of you who are better at this than me, what do you advise for next time? #NotAnExpert #WorkLifeBalance #WorkingHoliday

When you go on vacation, do you feel guilty about your work? Do you take calls and attend meetings during your vacation? On the other hand, do you feel guilty about your family when you take meetings during pool time with the kids? Such a vacation can be draining. Does it mean you always feel guilty during vacations? It's time to break that cycle and reap the benefits of genuine-time off. Here are 5 ways to disconnect professionally: - Provide a clear plan to your manager and team - Calendar your time off visibly - Send pre-notices for standing meetings - Maximize your out-of-office notification - Send a final reminder before you leave Remember: Setting boundaries isn't just good for you—it's good for business. Research shows that truly disconnecting leads to lower burnout, increased energy, and improved overall well-being. Have you tried any of these strategies? Something we don't think about..💯✅ If your work starts at 8 am, leave the office at 5 pm. If the company only pays you for 45 hours a week, stop working for another hour and a half at the expense of your time and effort. On the other hand, everyone is given 30 to 40 vacations a year to take a rest. It is a human need and right. But most people don't take the vacations they deserve, and don't label people who take vacations as lazy and uncommitted, it's very toxic. If there is too much work load for them to complete, if there is no other employee to take care of the work when they go on leave, then it is a shortcoming of the company. There are 24 hours in a day. Out of those 24 hours, we spend 10 hours on the road and in the office. Sleeping for another 6 hours. Only the remaining 8 hours are left to spend with their personal work and family. So, every extra minute you spend at the office takes away from the eight hours of 'personal time', which you can spend with your family, do a hobby for yourself, and understand what time means. In 10 years, the office won't remember that you worked diligently, even into the evening. But children will remember that father and mother always come home at night. You may remember that you were not with your children when they were growing up, you did not have to go on a trip with your spouse, you did not have to spend an extra hour or two with your old mother and father. ⏱️ 🩶💚 #copied (If you know the author, mention it 🙏)

As the long weekend approaches, I've been thinking about the two types of people we often see: 1. Those who take the opportunity to go on vacation and unwind. 2. Those who choose to stay home, spend time with family, and stay focused. Which one are you? Or is there a third type that I'm missing? Share your plans or thoughts below #WorkLifeBalance #LongWeekend #Productivity #FamilyTime
