Who is going to CES 2024 this year? Sadly, I cannot go this time, but I know some of you will be there, and I hope you can hang out together! This year, space technology will again be part of the CES story, as it spotlights the technologies and products fueling the future of journeys to space, encompassing aviation, satellite communications, and more. If you’re going to Vegas for CES 2024 (I envy you! 😊), make sure you also visit the new Sphere Entertainment Co. and come back here to tell us how it was! In this video, we can see a demonstration of Darren Aronofsky's latest cinematic endeavor, experimenting and pushing visual boundaries with 'Postcard From Earth.' I like how it reminds us of how our pursuit of space exploration and innovation mirrors the creativity in storytelling. Aronofsky's film pushes the envelope, much like we do in space law and exploration. It challenges us to think beyond traditional boundaries, to envision a future where art and science coalesce. I also see parallels in our work – advocating for space sustainability and responsible exploration. I haven't seen the film, but with its stunning visuals showcased here, it exemplifies our journey towards discovering the unknown and protecting our home. It's about pushing limits, just as we do when framing regulations for space mining or drafting policies for commercial space ventures. The idea of Earth as a spaceship resonates with me. There's something in the beauty and responsibility we share as inhabitants of this Spaceship Earth. It urges us to continue our quest for knowledge, balance, and innovation in the vast expanse we call space. So, what are you most excited about this year for CES? 🥹I’ve watched this video at least 10x and still tear up every time. It’s why I signed up for SpaceKind10 and Level II. It’s why I said YES to being a Group Lead for SpaceKind12. “It not only helps you get to space, but like the person you are when you get there." This struck me like an arrow when I heard it the first time. I used to chase achievement for the hollow gold star and admiration of others, but it was never enough. Hi LinkedIn, Whenever a VTuber group debuts a new set of talents, they have a choice to let other VTubers who are not part of their company join the debut festivities and let them host watch-along streams with their respective fans. To our amazement, US-based agency PixelLink signed up (as of our current count) 29 VTubers from other agencies and the independent segment for their watch-along program, wherein the agency sponsors their streams. This is a big investment and we may end up talking to them behind the scenes on what made this work. Maybe. Say aye in the comment thread if you're interested to know. From Disney star to space CEO 🚀 You might recognize Bridgit Mendler from “Good Luck Charlie”, “Wizards of Waverly Place”, and “The Clique”, but the 31-year-old is taking on an all new venture. After raising $6.3 million in seed funding, she launched Northwood Space, a #tech startup that she envisions to be a “data highway between Earth and space.” With the space industry booming, there’s a lot of data that needs to be sent back and forth, and she seized the opportunity to make that easier and faster. The company plans to conduct a first test connecting to a spacecraft in orbit later this year. Mendler’s resume includes a Harvard Law JD, time as the Harvard Space Law Society co-president, a PhD in mathematics from MIT, a Master’s from MIT, and a position with the FCC’s satellite division. She really is that girl 🔥
