Reflecting on the new vehicle sales statistics naamsa | The Automotive Business Council said that the positive July 2024 new vehicle market performance could unfortunately not fuel a sustained rebound in the August 2024 sales performance. Sales for medium and heavy truck segments of the industry reflected a mixed performed in August 2024 and at 748 units and 2,109 units, respectively, recorded an increase of 56 units, or 8,1% from the 692 units sold in August 2023 in the case of medium commercial vehicles, and, in the case of heavy trucks and buses a decrease of 272 vehicles, or 11,4%, compared to the 2,381 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
