The National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO Malaysia) acts as a vital link between industry players, government agencies and academia to strengthen the capabilities and capacities of Malaysian #aerospace companies. Its aim? To ultimately contribute to the realization of the government's New Industrial Master Plan 2030, which aims to transform Malaysia into a global center for manufacturing services in all industries including aerospace. But how can this be achieved? NAICO Malaysia decided to train local aerospace businesses to use Dassault Systèmes’ #3DEXPERIENCE platform. To do so, NAICO Malaysia is establishing "Malaysia Aerospace Centre of Excellence (MyAERO Centre) 3D Visualization Lab," a learning environment where aerospace companies can familiarize themselves with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its solutions. Local businesses will have the opportunity to discover the power of the platform, including its capabilities to accelerate #sustainable innovation in the aerospace industry. They can explore its 3D design capabilities, project and data management functionalities and will be able to find out how key stakeholders across the aerospace value chain can use the software to better collaborate and optimize their supply chains, and learn how it can help with process planning and robotics programming. Ahead of the 75th Republic Day, ELGi introduced an innovative technology solution to keep the Indian flag flying proudly, even in sub-optimal wind conditions. This journey reflects the vision, determination, and innovative spirit of the incredible team behind the project. It all began at Delhi’s Connaught Place. The grand 60x90 feet flag, hoisted 207 feet high, would often droop when the wind died down. “As leaders in the air business, we wondered: how can we keep the flag flying continuously, even in still air? And that’s how Project Tiranga began," shared Dr. Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director of Elgi Equipments Limited. An internal innovation challenge ignited creativity within ELGi's team, with over 300 employees submitting 29 ideas. From these, six standout concepts emerged. A dedicated team then crafted a custom 110-foot flag mast equipped with powerful blowers and a unique rope guide system that automatically adjusts to wind conditions, ensuring the flag is always flying. Every element, from the blowers to the rope guide system, was custom-built by the passionate team at ELGi.
