Hey everyone! We've raised a big heap of funds so far, and thank you to everyone who has made it possible. But I'm hoping we can raise even more! ***For today only*** all donations to the run are being matched! Make your contributions go the extra mile (wink) and donate today. If you are not in a position to help monetarily today, I'd appreciate if you could share this post with others to help spread the word. No need to donate via my link, direct donations to Fred Hollows are also possible (but not sure if these are being matched). Why donate to Fred Hollows? To put it very briefly, could you do your job with a vision impairment or blindness? Could you support your family, or would they be supporting you? Blindness can take away everything from those affected, but you can help bring it back! Many instances of blindness are treatable. More info can be found on the Fred Hollows website. https://lnkd.in/gDjUFZre

How to Help Fathers' UpLift Thank you for your support of our mission to uplift fathers and families. Your contributions play a vital role in enriching the lives of those we assist. Here are several impactful ways you can support our efforts: 1. Make a Donation: Your financial support is crucial to our nonprofit’s sustainability. Whether a one-time gift or a recurring donation, your donations directly fund our services, such as therapy and comprehensive support for fathers and their families. For instance: A $1,000 donation sustains a year’s service for one family. An $85 donation supports a month of service. Donations can be made quickly and securely through our website at www.fathersuplift.org. 2. Fundraise for Fathers: If contributing $1,000 is beyond your current capacity, or if you’re looking to extend your impact, consider organizing a fundraiser! Create a fundraising event on our website at https://lnkd.in/eNQUSXsD. Celebratory fundraisers during birthdays or holidays are excellent ways to raise awareness and support our mission effectively. 3. Host a Bags for Dads Drive: Join our efforts by hosting a Bags for Dads Drive. Last year, our community partners helped us distribute over 500 Bags for Dads. To start a drive or join an existing one, please contact us at info@fathersuplift.org. Your involvement can make a lasting impact on our community initiatives. We deeply appreciate every form of support we receive. Together, we can create meaningful change in the lives of fathers and their families. Thank you for your continued commitment to Fathers UpLift! 🌐 Learn More: Visit our website to find out more ways to get involved and support our mission. #FathersUpLift #SupportFathers #MakeADifference #CommunitySupport #PositiveChange

Liability and Commercial Assets Insurance Specialist @ BFL CANADA | Risk Management, Commercial Insurance
It seems like this summer is filled with a lot of exciting projects and developments, from new construction builds and software rollouts to expanding core operations to serve a growing market. It's great to see this growth and optimism, especially after the uncertainty that has affected our businesses and lives in recent years. However, it's not just businesses that are seeing increased activity. Not-for-profit organizations are also facing more challenges with the same budget constraints and higher operating costs while still fulfilling the needs of those theybstrive to support. Organizations like the Cool Aid Society of Grande Prairie have dedicated teams working tirelessly to support their causes. For instance, the Cool Aid Youth Program underwent a significant facelift this year, thanks to the efforts of Barbara Feltham-Brentnall and her team. The infrastructure upgrade and the time invested by the staff and volunteers have resulted in engaging, fun, and educational summer camps for the kids. These programs not only enhance the lives of the children but also fulfill a crucial need in our community. With everyone being busy this summer, I urge you to consider supporting societal initiatives that help keep your community strong. Not-for-profits are facing rising costs, but support can come in many forms, such as sharing skills, providing art programs, donating day-to-day supplies, or offering career guidance. Even leftover supplies from construction projects can make a difference in these communities. Don't forget to lend a hand to organizations like these this summer. A little help can go a long way within your community, often in ways that have a lasting impact you wouldn't initially realise.
I continue to be astounded by the generosity of my community. Today, at Cool Aid Society, the youth center I am proud to be a part of, we received a dishwasher thanks to a generous donation from a private donor. Living in a community that supports each other fills me with gratitude. Thank you, Kirtis Siemens, for your generous support! #CommunitySupport #Gratitude #ThankYou

American Global is having the conversations. We are assisting our clients in having the conversations with their teams. We are showing up and we are raising awareness alongside American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. All to better the #constructionindustry. If you are a leader in the industry, are you doing your part? We all have to come together on issues like this to make a change! #bettertogether #construction #contractors
American Global teammates from NY to FL were proud to 'walk the walk' in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by participating in their local Construction Hike for Hope last Saturday. We were also there to support the massive effort of AG's own Rob Labbe, Jr., CSP and David Wessin, ASIST who worked tirelessly to secure sponsors and promote the event to raise funds for this most worthwhile and important cause. Thank you to Rob, David and all those who participated and/or donated. To find about more about how you could save someone's life or make a donation, visit: https://lnkd.in/eniXUsR8
