Celebrated Ayudha Pooja in our office today! There’s never a dull moment here. Our day starts as early as Kabir heads off to school and ends with late night US calls. It’s chaotic but fulfilling, with homemade meals, the best masala teas from Rekha Didi, a mix of exciting and mundane work, podcast recordings and a lots of breaks to check on Kabir. It's these quiet moments during Poojas when I reflect on how grateful we are by having a clear purpose and a dedicated team that shares our vision brings us closer to our dreams every day 💚 We feel deeply blessed for the unwavering support we’ve received as a young fund from our investors, founders, friends, and all of you. By the time a drug lands on a pharmacy shelf, pharma companies spend around $2.3 billion per drug on average. Around $3B is spent every year because of inaccuracies in data, analytics during the drug discovery and formulation phase. In the U.S. about 40,000 trials occur each year, yet only around 40 drugs gain approval. Among all the players in the healthcare industry pharma gets about 13% of total revenue. So it’s both good for the industry and the world that they get more efficient and leverage tech as much as possible. With LLMs coming on the scene the pharma industry is keen on adopting it but accuracy matters a lot. Language models can be a lifeboat to an industry drowning in data but an inaccurate language model can be a leaky boat. After one of those hectic days, when I go to bed, I often ask myself, “what was I doing when I had all the time in the world before Kabir came? There was so much time for everything I could have achieved.” Do you know why? Because I wanted everything and there was absolutely no focus in my life. Motherhood annoys you, frustrates you to your core on most days and you almost feel like giving up every other day but you DON'T. And the best thing that eventually happens is that you learn the art of doing things or if I quote it correctly, art of getting things done. And that’s what experts do. They don’t try to achieve everything. They ask for advice from other experts and focus on what they know the best. And that’s something I was totally missing before having Kabir. And all this made sense after watching this beautiful video by Sebamed India. It says that you don't have to worry about everything. Just trust other experts and focus on creating your expertise. Because not every issue is a big deal. Some problems can be tackled with other experts that exist. In my journey of raising Kabir, I trusted a few experts like my mother, mother in law and some products of Sebamed for him. No time for researching. As Kabir completes 5 years today, his Mama also celebrates 5 years of being more fearless, ambitious, and focused than ever before. These 5 years have been nothing short of a roller coaster ride, with our fair share of ups and downs. We both have adjusted well to each other's routines. While I am trying my best to create a routine for us, Kabir is doing his best to adapt to living with his entrepreneurial parents. These 5 years have shaped my thinking and added a new perspective to my life. A timid girl from Shahjahanpur can now go to any length to voice her opinions. Although physically everything seems scattered, mentally, with less time on hand and so much to do, I have developed a laser focus in life. My dreams and goals have never been as dear and clear to me as they are now. And all this has happened since Kabir came into my life. There is nothing more fulfilling than having found a meaningful purpose and people whom you love unconditionally.
