Saw this coming years ago now you have to catchup.
As a gpc employee my direct experience has been competition with online competitors. I assume the market has been affected by current financial situation and recent job numbers causing lack of income. Most of our buisness comes from cars 4 years and older and sometime those parts are hard to find. Also a look into more performance and sport orientated parts and not just “stock” replacement parts. The best way to gain a following and what I’ve noticed is “old timers” who are much more knowledgeable are PERFORMANCE PARTS!!!!!!! Young people want speed and performance and looks appeal. Our stores and the company need to offer high performance parts options or find way to tap into the aftermarket performance parts market. Excluding California NY etc
We have the best people from top to bottom, the best products in the market and the best laid path to success. Whilst we may have hit a bump on that path, we can and will overcome this. No team wins every time, so let’s put this behind us and aim for that goal that is ahead of us.

GPC is losing a lot of good and knowledgeable people because of the managers and district managers not treating the employees good. In the smaller places especially because not more jobs so they have to deal with the harassment and bullying 😔 NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT
All the good comments but still nothing is being done about the managers bullying and harassing their employees
We could do more with more people at the store I work at. We are short at least two people and it has been that way for the last eight months.

1moI thought the numbers weren’t up to par and continue to be concerned about where GPC is headed. Same store sales continue to be an issue. I continue to find ways to diversify My position in the stock ( sadly)
