The theme for International Women's Day this year, "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress," struck a chord instantly, inspiring a deeper reflection on the work we do at Mumkin. Mumkin isn't just about empowering women; it's about recognizing the complex interplay between gender inequality, poverty, and environmental degradation. Our approach is holistic and integrated, addressing these interconnected challenges head-on. In the Himalayan communities where we work, gender inequality runs deep. Mumkin is committed to providing women with equal opportunities for economic participation and leadership. Through initiatives like sustainable tourism and indigenous handicrafts, we empower women to showcase their talents, preserve their cultural heritage, and generate income. But our work doesn't stop there. We're also actively promoting gender-sensitive practices within our own operations and partner networks. By ensuring equal representation and participation of women in decision-making processes, we're shaping a more inclusive and equitable future. At Mumkin, we're not just talking the talk; we're walking the walk. Here are three ways we're making a difference: 1. Creating hyper-local employment opportunities for women in rural India. 2. Supporting self-help groups to transition to more productive entrepreneurship, while also building crucial credit and market linkages. 3. Doubling down on economic growth and development planning that leverages the inherent competitive edge women bring to the table. Join us on this journey of empowerment and progress. Follow https://lnkd.in/dF3GgFU4 as we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and communities across India. Together with the invaluable collaboration of GIZ India and Diaspora2030, we've embarked on a journey of empowerment, innovation, and positive change. Here's to the power of partnership and the endless possibilities it brings! 🌟 #MumkinIndia #PartnersInChange Bhuwan Kapri Avinash Pratap Singh Aritra Bhattacharyya Christina Omlin thank you for your incredible dedication in bringing this vision to life.

Over the past decade, CSR has become an integral part of corporate strategy and functioning, fostering social change and development across the nation. In our event, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais said, “We need to move from CSR to ISR – Individual Social Responsibility. Many of the public enterprises and corporations present today are already engaged in various CSR activities. I also know that many organizations are spending much more than the mandatory 2% on CSR. There are also companies that, despite not making a significant profit, are dedicating a portion of their earnings to social work.” #csrawards

🌍 Community Involvement: The Heartbeat of Jal Jeevan Mission & SBMG-II Success 💧🚰 As we approach the 5th anniversary of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and reflect on the ongoing journey of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin Phase-II (SBMG-II), it's clear that at the core of every successful initiative lies the power of the people. These transformative missions are shining examples of how community involvement can turn a vision into reality. 💧 Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), with its mission to provide safe and adequate drinking water to every rural household by 2024, is not just about installing taps. As we near five years since its announcement, the role of communities has never been more crucial. Empowered villagers are taking ownership of their water resources, shifting from dependency to self-sufficiency. Communities are now at the forefront of planning, implementing, and managing their water supply systems, ensuring sustainability and resilience. 🚰 Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin Phase-II (SBMG-II), which continues the legacy of Swachh Bharat Mission, focuses on achieving and sustaining ODF Plus (Open Defecation Free Plus) status. As we progress through the years of this mission, it's the commitment of the people that drives the mission forward. From constructing and maintaining sanitation facilities to promoting hygiene practices, community involvement ensures that the progress we make today will benefit generations to come. ✨ Why Community Involvement Matters: Sustainability: When communities are involved, they are more likely to maintain and sustain the infrastructure. Ownership: Local ownership fosters a sense of responsibility, leading to better upkeep and utilization of resources. Innovation: Community-led initiatives often bring innovative, context-specific solutions that resonate with local needs and cultures. 👏 As we near these significant milestones, let's celebrate the unsung heroes of JJM & SBMG-II—the people in every village, town, and community who are making a lasting impact. Together, we're not just building infrastructure; we're building a legacy of empowerment and self-reliance. Join us in supporting and strengthening community involvement for a brighter, healthier, and more sustainable India! 🇮🇳💪 #JalJeevanMission #SBMGII #CommunityInvolvement #HarGharJal #SwachhBharat #RuralEmpowerment #Sustainability #IndiaRising
