Hemp is not marajana. Hemp is great for making paper and all sorts of other products. It is also high protien for animal feed. In 2019, the South Carolina SLED went against the recommendations of the State Attorney General, then asked a Judge and got denied a warrant, then went to a County Magistrate and got an arrest warrant without telling the Magistrate what the Judge or Attorney Genral had said. Besides arresting the crop grower who had a permit but for a different field, SLED also destroyed the crop worth $2,000,000.00 which was not part of the arrest warrant. This is not going down like SLED thought it would. They are losing face and the lawsuits. The farmer will be owed for damages with interest adjusted for inflation, false inprisonment, legal fees, and more. Why do I care about hemp? As somebody with livestock, I look for value feed sources which will yield a healthy flock. https://lnkd.in/gx59N6Ub
UPDATE: SLED chief pays $11,307.36 sanction for discovery abuses in farmer's lawsuit from 2019 raid

More on the legal challenge launched by Badger Trust and Wild Justice to argue that Natural England issued badger cull licences unlawfully to maintain farmer confidence rather than control disease: - Defra officials advised NE that abrupt policy changes would “seriously undermine” Defra's ability to work constructively with the farming industry on future disease control - A briefing paper on the licensing decision prepared for Natural England’s executive committee also identified the maintenance of the organisation’s relationship with the National Farmers’ Union and the farming community as an advantage of issuing the licences. So does maintaining relationships trump effective disease control now? And why are badgers still being mass killed to control a cattle-spread disease? Asking for 30,000 friends slated for slaughter this year... Read more about our legal challenge > https://buff.ly/3SFqAQc
