Our motto: Nothing about us without us! Neurodivergent Friends is dedicated to providing safe and supportive social opportunities for people of all ages. Our mission is to create a community where neurodivergent individuals can find their tribe, socialize, and thrive. Our primary goal is to address the lack of supportive, safe spaces for neurodivergent individuals and those with IDD. Many of us face social isolation and need more opportunities for meaningful engagement. Finding and accessing appropriate services and resources for their child can be challenging. If you are new in this field and do not know what resources and services to use for children with communication disorders, it is important to have the necessary tools and guidelines to access essential services for your children and better face this new challenge. Here are some services and resources to help parents on this trip: 1️⃣ Valuation and disruption: a thorough and accurate assessment to identify the specific needs of the child 2️⃣ Collaboration: the involvement of a team of professionals is essential for a more comprehensive approach to the needs of the child 3️⃣ Advocacy: support their children and their needs within the educational, health and community systems. 4️⃣ Education: providing parents with information and resources to help them make the most appropriate decisions for their children 5️⃣ Support networks: connecting parents to each other for emotional and practical support even online can be valuable during their journey 6️⃣ Company Commitment: Emphasize the company’s commitment to supporting families in accessing the services and resources needed to help their children thrive.
