The Foundation runs a Community Grants Programme 🌟 aimed at supporting CareTech Ltd staff, their families, and local communities in hopes to enrich the areas where CareTech operates. As part of this initiative, we’re proud to have awarded a £1,500 grant to Sands - baby loss charity 🕊️, a UK-wide organization supporting those affected by the loss of a baby. We’re thrilled to announce a £1,000 grant awarded to Earlsheaton Starlites, a fantastic majorette troupe based in Dewsbury! 🎉 Earlsheaton Starlites trains young majorettes aged 2 and up in pom, show dance, and freestyle. Its ADHD Awareness Month! At The Foundation, we are committed to supporting individuals with ADHD and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through innovative projects and partnerships. One such initiative is the Pakistan Special Education Initiative (PSEI), which we proudly founded and funded. This initiative draws on decades of experience supporting people with disabilities in the UK and aims to transform the educational landscape for children with SEND in Pakistan. PSEI addresses the urgent need for resources and support within Pakistan's education system, helping students with ADHD and other special needs access the tools they require to succeed. On this World Mental Health Day, the British Asian Trust is delighted to announce the launch of one of the largest ever global mental health initiatives. Our nationwide "Milkar" campaign will reach over 100 million people in Pakistan over the next year. An estimated 1 in 4 people in #Pakistan experience mental health issues and millions suffer silently due to stigma. 👁️🌍 On this World Sight Day, we’re celebrating the success of our partnership with RNIB in transforming eye health support across the care sector! Through the Vision Friends project, we’ve made incredible strides in ensuring that sight loss in individuals with learning disabilities is detected early and managed effectively. Thanks to the training, resources, and support provided, care staff now have the knowledge to recognise and address the eye health needs of those they care for.
