CONFLICT PREVENTION: HUMAN RIGHTS - THE RIGHT TO PLAY https://lnkd.in/g-sjyg85 We do not know how many conflicts are prevented or how many lives are saved when communities promote the right play to develop healthy youth. In countries where sports are connected to high-income earners and businesses that move large amounts of capital, the right to play has a different meaning. The right to play does not always help youth grow up healthy if professional competition is always the aim. Other societies that rob children of their childhood through #Childlabour or recruit them into guerrilla warfare, all these groups rob youth of their childhood and their right to play. Play is recreation. The new digital world, with gambling or other forms of entertainment, also robs youth of their right to play and to grow up healthy. We all need to revise the right to play in homes, places of education, and community centers. To play is peaceful!
