In 2004 and 2005, both the Peabody and Schlobohm families lost their daughter to a brain tumor. Caroline was 15 months old, and Sydney was 9 years old. Since their passing, Caroline’s father, Chris, and Sydney’s father, Cord, have been working toward creating a new gold standard for pediatric patients with brain tumors and their families through golf. Through their Impact Golf tournament — with this year’s 10th annual event on Sept. 6 — they strive to provide an afternoon of exceptional golf, food, and friendship, all while raising funds in the fight to eliminate brain tumors. As we approach Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September, we celebrate the efforts of those in our community who are taking action for change, and we invite the brain tumor community to join us in making an impact by creating their own fundraiser. Reach out to communityevents@braintumor.org to start planning your event today. Together, we can raise funds and awareness for the breakthroughs needed to conquer and cure brain tumors — once and for all. #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth #CCAM

As Chris stated it is all possible to many who supported the event all these years. We do it to raise funds for brain tumor cancer research in memory of our daughters and also with the hope that one day fewer if any families will ever have to endure the pain and suffering from cancer. 💜
Miss you and love you my forever 15 month old.
❤️🙏❤️🙏 Love to both families. And, all who continue to struggle with a brain tumor diagnosis. KLP
Thanks to everyone that has supported Impact Golf for the last 10 years! Cord Schlobohm and I put it together, but, there has been an incredibly loyal group of friends, families, golfers, businesses, volunteers and donors that generously contribute to the fight against brain tumors. We can't believe it's been 10 years - we appreciate the love and support.
