Living in a small place, the most important thing is people, people having respect and a ownership of where they are from. Community is everything and very quickly our children grow up and join this community so it’s important they hold good morals and beliefs. Keeping your communities close and outside noise from weird political party agendas is key. Protecting your children is everything so at Goose on the Loose we have created a blog for parents to use to speak and share with eachother. https://lnkd.in/e8kyXn93

Are you a parent/caregiver with chaotic school mornings? We have designed a "Kid's Checklist for a Great School Day" to help your child(ren) get organized. ✅ The checklist includes tasks for after school, before bed, and in the morning. It also features tasks that are specific to walking and wheeling to school, such as dressing for the weather, bringing a lock, and comfortably packing their backpack. Check out our checklist and many other resources in our "Inspire Active Journeys to School" toolkit 👇 https://lnkd.in/ggmDNtH2

On Wednesday, in a conversation with the clinicians at Cornerstone Day School, we discussed the concept of “holding space”. To moms and dads, your children will be more healthy and more securely attached when you simply Show Up and hold space for them. Hold space means create a home environment where they ALWAYS feel safe. To teachers and others in the educational system, holding space means creating sanctuary. Sanctuary is in your presence, always being welcomed and respected; a place where students desire to be. Holding sacred space for all of our babies. What does that mean to you, and what do you personally do to hold space?

This one just made my day. Beautiful and heartwarming. 5 values I found in this short scene: (1) Compassion: The children showed compassion by sharing their food with the hungry child, even though they had limited resources themselves. (2) Empathy: They were able to understand the child's situation and feel empathy for his hunger. (3) Generosity: The children were generous in giving away part of their own food, demonstrating a willingness to help others. (3) Kindness: Their actions were kind and thoughtful, showing consideration for the well-being of their classmate. (3) Solidarity: The children united in their support for the hungry child, demonstrating a sense of community and shared responsibility. https://lnkd.in/dx6w2tXt

It takes a village to raise a child. Still, the most critical members of the community for that child are its parents and family members. Communities should value parents' and family members' participation in the educational system. #education #parentalengagement #publiceducation
