Senior Vice President at XFERALL | Driving 10x Growth | Healthcare | Improving Access to Quality Care | Helping Others
Did you know 1 in 6 youth have a mental health condition? Due to limited access to services and outpatient services, Children and Adolescents end up in the ED often waiting 5 to 41 hours to get to clinically appropriate care. This is the wrong clinical setting for extended periods of time. We need to do better. XFERALL is helping everyday hospitals help their patients get to clinically appropriate care faster. Today, another child, got to care faster. An ED was able to help that patient and help many more patients coming into their ED's for other levels of acuity by transfering that patient faster. Real results. Real impact. Time is now. #MentalHealth #Healthcare #EmergencyDepartment #PsychiatricCare #Fragility"

🤝 Creating a culture of care is crucial for crisis and suicide prevention. No matter the size of your campus or the breadth of your resources, there are essential steps every institution can take to nurture a more supportive environment for student mental health: 1️⃣ Develop clear protocols for identifying and responding to students in crisis. 2️⃣ Expand mental health resources to include virtual psychiatry, peer support, and 24/7 crisis assistance. 3️⃣ Ensure that crisis support is readily available and well-publicized across the campus community. 4️⃣ Offer continuous training for faculty, staff, and students to recognize and appropriately address signs of distress. At Mantra, we’re dedicated to aiding institutions in building comprehensive mental health and wellness programs that promote well-being and prevent crises and suicides. 💙 #NationalSuicidePreventionMonth #StudentMentalHealth

The symptoms of PTSD include: 😰 Anxiety 😴 Trouble sleeping 😨 Being easily frightened or scared 💭 Avoiding of stressful triggers that remind you of abuse 💞 Difficulty maintaining relationships 😞 Feeling emotionally numb It takes so much 💪 strength for a teenager to leave an abusive relationship. Preventing the threat of workplace violence involves a comprehensive understanding of prevention and risk mitigation of which the active shooter incident and mental health are concerns. #TIP_WPVP 153: Preparing for an #activeshooter incident is more than rehearsing tactics. It is about avoiding it. It is an organizational response involving a comprehensive workplace violence prevention policy and plan supported by training. It is understanding that the employee/student transition to active shooter is preventable. It does not evolve quickly. It is a rationalization & justification over time emanating from unresolved issues and not intentional plans designed because of mental health. Approximately 5% of mass shootings are related to severe mental illness. The public tends to link serious mental illnesses, like schizophrenia or psychotic disorders, with violence and mass shootings says Dr. Ragy Girgis, MD, associate professor of clinical psychiatry in the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. https://bit.ly/3wpIDyp #MentalHealth #HR #Legal #Security #Compliance #Safety #Facility
