Earlier this week the United States Golf Association (USGA)hosted it's final Town Hall for 2024. A few stats and key takeaways shared by CEO, Mike Whan. 137 million Americans consuming and playing the game of golf in 2024. This is +12% vs. 2023. 47 million Americans playing golf, which is +13 million since 2019. And another 23 million, currently not playing, express high interest in playing the game. +1.5 million more golfers played golf on a green grass golf course in 2024 vs. 2023. And course play is 72% Public vs. 28% Private. Growth Driven by three segments: Women, Juniors, People of Color. These segments combined are +40% over the last 5 years.
