Great opportunity for First Nation Communities! Mapping data is important for many reasons, including planning, development etc; and my interest in improving emergency management whether that's 911 mapping or including within geospatial evacuation route plans. Good civic address data aids evacuation planning and response, as it provides precise location information, enables easy identification, hazard proximity (etc) and for Red Dragon, is part of our evacuation timeline model™ that informs communities with lead-in times and considerations to identify operational trigger points. Also, maps are cool.. ICI Society’s AddressBC First Nations Grant Program offers financial support to First Nations for projects related to managing address data in a geospatial format. #shouldhavebeenacartographer #ihaveamazingprofessionalGISsupport #reddragon #amazingconnections #safer

When a major biennial event is on the track for failure, the best approach is to bring in someone who can salvage as much as possible and stem the financial and reputational losses that the organization is on track to incur.
