Always #firedup to share the latest edition of the Voice of the Provider! In this week's episode I discuss the importance of remaining objective when evaluating and treating injured workers. Big Thanks as always to WorkCompCollege.com for getting the word out about these important topics in our industry.
Voice of the Provider is a collaboration between Brooks Rehabilitation and WorkCompCollege.com and the name defines its purpose. Many stakeholders in work comp do not understand or appreciate all of the various clinical providers that help an injured employee return to and stay at work. Whether recovery from the injury / illness is easy or hard, there are clinicians along the way that utilize their education, expertise and experience to help. This week, Josh Schuette, DPT, MBA, WRP of Brooks Rehabilitation talks about the word "Objective" and what it means for workers' comp. https://lnkd.in/eUihA72Z

Today, we #honor the toil and sweat of those whose hands shape the world. Let us pause and reflect on the essence of labor, the foundation upon which #societies are built. It's a day not just for rest, but for recognition of the dignity inherent in work, regardless of its form or scale. From the fields to the factories, from the offices to the streets, every #laborer contributes to the symphony of human endeavor. On this day, let's #celebrate not just the fruits of labor, but the labor itself, and the #humanity it represents. #LaborDayReflections #WorkDignity #CelebratingLabor #HumanEndeavor #HonoringToil #SocietyBuilders #LaborSymphony #RespectForWork #LaborDay2024 #HandsThatShape

Excited that our paper in European Management Review is one of the 10 most -cited papers published between January 1st, 2022 and December 31st, 2023. I was truly fortunate to work on this project with Solon Magrizos, Dr Andri Georgiadou, Dr Ioannis Kostopoulos, and Demetris Vrontis. This study focuses on a paradoxical phenomenon - while typically #meaningful work is associated with higher #wellbeing. We reveal the #dark side of #meaningful #work: for individuals who are prone to #workaholism #meaningful work has a negative impact on #wellbeing.
