The American Heart Association has included sleep on their Life’s Essential 8 checklist for good health. AHA echoes NSF’s guidelines that most adults should get 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Sleep is critical to heart health. Plus, if you have a sleep disorder you could have a higher chance of developing heart disease.
