Naval Special Warfare Command - Navy SEAL & SWCC Teams reposted this
The decision to serve in America’s Warfighting Navy is one that I have the utmost respect for, and there are countless reasons that drive us to serve. I chose to serve for college benefits, but I continue to serve today, 39 years later, for the mission, for the team, and to serve something greater than myself. I join the United States Department of Defense in discussing why I made the decision to serve in the US Navy in this video. #WhyIServe
Ma’am, I’m a fellow NROTC Wildcat alum…joined for exactly the same reasons, but didn’t have the longevity that you’ve shown. I just want to say that despite never meeting, I feel connected through our NU roots and all my peers who continue to serve speak incredibly highly of you and your leadership. Proud to share the Northwestern NROTC connection. You do us proud! Go Cats and Go Navy!
Thank you for your 39 years of service, Adm. Franchetti! The benefits you received at Northwestern University were a great investment by the Navy!
I dropped out of high school during my junior year and joined the Navy. It was a terrific experience that gave me the foundation to build a great career. I didn’t join for the college benefits, but I certainly ended up using them when I got out 4 years later. The Navy taught me the value of an education, discipline, leadership, teamwork and that we all are critical to mission success no matter what our role. September 2nd will be the 44th anniversary of my first day of boot camp. I treasure friendships I made in the Navy, friendships that still exist.
I love this lady!!! Hats off to Lisa Franchetti #wonderwoman #girlpower #bosslady
I miss being in the Navy. I should have never gotten out. I loved putting the uniform on and serving my country. I wish I could get back in the Navy.
Go US Marines
Inspiring
Thank you for sharing! Our people are absolutely our secret weapon!

2moLooks like the Army is running the Navy. So stupid the Navy rejected the classic Service Dress Khaki Uniform of WWII in order to adopt sloppy forest camo BDU’s. Obviously no pride in appearance, or sense of history. It’s time to stop being a follower and start leading! Its time to get back to looking like the US Navy 😡
