The 3rd part of my chat on #wellness with Heather Stoltzfus MPH RN CIC is now live! We had so much fun and freedom discussing how we manage our time and the multiple priorities on our schedules. For us, it’s parenting, networking, running our businesses, delivering on consulting projects, and spending quality time with our families. For you, it may look totally different. We also discussed the elephant in the room aka imposter syndrome. Admitting that we have struggled with it throughout our careers, and also now as people reach out and recognize us as experts in the industry, the pressure can sometimes amplify this feeling. Hey! Even great business leaders that I look up to such as Barbara Corcoran admit that they’ve experienced it. This feeling drove them to continue to work to better themselves and eventually led to their success. The truth? I’ve also done some of my best work when I was underestimated and totally afraid. So guess what? You’re in good company. We’re all humans. Sometimes we doubt ourselves. The secret is not letting that consume us and develop self-awareness to recognize when those feelings arise. Then allowing self-confidence to help us remember our past accomplishments, our expertise and what we can continue to bring to the table. We hope you learn from our experience and get some insights on how to manage it all the healthy way. Never belittle yourself or let any negative perceptions other people have of you get in the way.
