Ever wondered if veterans could qualify for more than the standard disability benefits? Enter the VA extra-schedular rating – a vital resource for those with unique circumstances. 🔍 What is it? An extra-schedular rating (3.321 b1) steps in when standard ratings fall short for veterans with service-connected disabilities. This compensation ensures tailored support for those facing unaddressed challenges. 📈 How Does It Work? If approved, the extra-schedular rating considers the extent of the disability. Note: it doesn't guarantee a 100% disability rating, but it can significantly boost monthly compensation. Spread the word – tag someone who needs to know about this extra layer of support!

Coach at Just4Veterans | USMC Veteran | Empowering veterans to secure the benefits they earned through dedicated support.
Many veterans with service-connected disabilities qualify for tax-free monthly compensation from the VA. But when do they actually get their VA disability pay? Once the VA issues a final decision on a veteran's disability rating, they become eligible to receive VA disability pay. The VA will notify them formally, and they can expect to start receiving monthly payments. The disability rating percentage directly impacts the amount of monthly compensation a veteran receives. Higher ratings mean more severe disabilities and higher monthly benefits, ensuring fair compensation for veterans with service-related disabilities. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion begins with helping those in most need of thy mercy. Let us always find ways to empower people with disabilities so they can have a safe and fulfilling life. So, reflect on the teachings of Saint Mother Teresa who inspired hope and offered a renewed focus on living a life of love, service, and faith. A few of her quotes are as follows:: “Peace begins with a smile.” “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” “Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you.” My purpose in life is to offer faith and hope to others, as well as create a village where people with disabilities can live together in unity. My hope is to foster partnerships so we can develop a living village for the intellectually disabled. Please help an organization which has a focus of helping the disabled. Research is great but individual support makes an immediate difference in the lives of others. It only takes faith and action to make a difference! Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

The families of military-connected children with disabilities may have the added challenges of frequent separation from family and support networks and disruptions in the continuity of early intervention services and special education and related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) because of frequent transitions. The transitions happened more often, but there is help! Our military families we need to do better. A letter from the Office of Special Education Programs Director Valerie C. Williams addressed to state directors of special education and state IDEA Part C coordinators emphasized the need to help support military-connected children with disabilities and their families through the numerous educational and life transitions they may face. These resources can help to support states, parents, families, and others to meet the unique needs of military-connected children with disabilities and ensure the timely provision of required early intervention and special education and related services. https://lnkd.in/e5YKsp_u #specialeducation #specialneeds #specialeducationlaw #njattorney #njlawyers #militarytransition #specialeducation #specialneeds #specialeducationlaw #njattorney #njlawyers #Military

As Black disabled people, sometimes the disability part of our identity is minimized. Of course, at some point there needs to be a conversation with the rest of our larger community about the fact that our value is the same as everyone else’s. In the meantime, we have each other. - Tinu Abayomi Paul What are your needs and the needs of your people? How can you strengthen trust and transparency within your mutual aid network?
