If you're aiming to achieve true market value, auction is the only way to go In our previous auction, we had a residential property in Hackney that local private treaty agents valued at £650,000. We set a guide price of £500,000 plus and ultimately sold it for £870,000 That's the beauty of a bidding war, it will find the true market value, and after experiencing it firsthand, I can't believe I didn't get into the auction market sooner!!!
