Designed to bring together a universe of creative makers under one roof, the new Warner Bros. Discovery Second Century project in Burbank, CA provides a workplace experience as iconic as the brand’s famous characters and stories.     “We designed spaces where animator teams could sit together based on the shows they were on, in addition to providing production space, edit bays, audio mix bays and such,” says Ashlie Fuller, NBBJ Principal and lead interior designer on the project. Creative touches like floorwide color motifs inspired by the company’s location in Southern California, a hospitality-inspired coffee bar, desks designed with hoods to give animators private space to create and living rooms for each show to encourage team collaboration add to the creative and productive nature of the workplace.      Creating a sense of fun was also key. One-of-a-kind furniture items, memorabilia and art—more than 500 pieces were cataloged and moved into the buildings!—reflect the creative work taking place inside. “People want to know that they’re part of something greater,” says Fuller, “and being able to display the legacy of the company is really important.”       Read more about the Second Century project in Emmy Magazine (note: login required): https://lnkd.in/gDP2a62t
