Neighborhood Family Practice’s Post

Roya Berrhouma’s journey with Aleksandra “Sasha” Rabinovich, APRN-CNP at our W. 117th Community Health Center is more than just a medical story—it’s a tale of hope, resilience, and the power of compassionate care. Roya, along with her family, embarked on a new chapter in the United States five years ago, leaving behind their homeland of Tunisia. However, amidst the challenges of adapting to a new life, Roya found herself battling hair loss and crippling fatigue. “We all trust her,” Roya smiles with gratitude as she recounts the transformation that unfolded within her family. Her daughter Rosie found relief from headaches and a troublesome rash, while her husband Naoufel, was finally able to quit smoking. Now, as Roya and her family prepare to transition to NFP’s new W. 130th Community Health Center, their hearts brim with anticipation. It’s not just about the expansion of services; it’s about the profound sense of belonging they’ve found. “The staff at NFP work with love,” Roya reflects, her words echoing the deep sense of connection and compassion that defines her family’s experience. In Sasha, Roya and her family have found more than just a healthcare provider—they’ve found a home, a sanctuary of healing, and a beacon of hope for the future. Financial support is needed for the construction and infrastructure required to convert the retail space into a medical office space. NFP has secured $1.98 million to date. With the new space being listed unexpectedly and our need to quickly move forward to secure the site, philanthropic support is essential to help us close the funding gap. Will you help? A donation of any amount will close the gap. Your investment will also connect more individuals and families to health care services now and into the future.
