Cancer is a metabolic disease & starts with mitochondrial dysfunction/damage of oxidative phosphorylation. The underlying signals of this metabolic dysfunction, which develops slowly over a period of a few years, are asymptomatic & cannot be measured by standard of care diagnostic investigations. By the time symptoms show up, the patient has already missed the bus. What comes next is standard hospital practice of series of radiation & chemotherapies aka attacking your cells with unwanted poison, with poor clinical outcomes & low survival rates In larger no of cases, these harmful chemicals destroy other healthy cells, triggering a collateral damage Still in advanced stage of cancer , none of healthcare practitioners & hospitals make concerted efforts to recommend & structure a precision nutrition program that could starve tumors/cancer cells ( obviously, they are never taught nutrition in their grad school). How can you blend nutrition with these chemicals when your oncologist is bent on encashing your misery? Two food substrates should be minimized or avoided when you are undergoing post cancer treatment/therapies -Glucose: Cancer cells are well versed about ancient fermentation pathways & ferment glucose that gives them substantial energy to proliferate & grow. As a byproduct of glucose fermentation, they release lactic acid, succinic acid that acidifies microenvironment, further damaging oxidative phosphorylation. Search Warburg effect & you will find about glucose fermentation -Glutamine- Cancer cells feed on glutamine. Although glutamine is a non essential amino acid, it plays a key role in various physiological processes including urea cycle & is essential metabolite for immune system & gut. There are numerous foods that have glutamine. Unfortunately, this food substrate helps cancer cells proliferate & foods having glutamine should be avoided. Certain hacks that could inhibit cancer cell growth include certain flavonoids such as EGCG that inhibits glutamine production However, which specific foods should be part of your diet would depend on thousands of other biochemical functions. We measure all thousands of functions preceding tumor development & construct a precision nutrition program that eliminates molecules involved in oral cancer onset. https://lnkd.in/g_7gkmmU Citation https://lnkd.in/gXUUXJ8B #cancer #oralcancer #cancerawareness #fermentation #type2diabetes #mitochondriadysfunction Sakshi Bali Shashi Shekhar M. Yesterday the vernal equinox occurred. The best time of the year when our endogenous diurnal rythm programmed by the clock genes harmonizes so well with sunset and sunrise. The picture is from the diurnal rythm chapter in our book on liver functions: https://lnkd.in/dbZuDnUq. There you can also read: "Animals with mutated clock genes exhibit impaired glucose and lipid profile and are more susceptible to dietary obesity and metabolic dysfunction. Disrupted circadian rhythm regulation of fat metabolism, detoxification, production of ROS, and cell cycle may contribute to the onset and progression of liver steatosis, fibrosis, and cancer (Potter et al. 2016; Saran, Dave, and Zarrinpar 2020).

Eating flaxseeds manipulates the gut microbiome composition to reduce the risk of breast cancer, a new research from the University of Toronto suggests. Researchers have revealed that lignan, which is abundantly found in flaxseeds, modifies the relationship between the #gutmicrobiome and mammary gland miRNA toward a non-cancer state. So, if this finding is validated through future #clinicaltrials, this may lead to the development of dietary strategies as a preventive measure for #breastcancer. https://lnkd.in/gNJ3MidE

Researchers are exploring alternative anticancer therapies to complement breast cancer treatment due to long-term side effects. An early-stage trial found that Boswellia serrata extract reduced tumor proliferation in breast cancer patients. Additional studies noted potential anticancer effects of soy, enterolactone, and green tea, highlighting the need for further research on effective dosages and lifelong dietary habits.

Continue readinghttps://lnkd.in/gGm7gnsq
