LYWO has been a small project that I took up when I decided to not go back to a traditional work environment in 2020. I wanted to build something that can capture what I learnt in my past leadership roles with respect to building successful teams and transform it into a tool that more people can use. Every time I started building my team, I always focused on people and their innate personalities and how well they met the needs of the role more than their past experience and achievements. Though experience in an area is vital to success, I felt that not everyone always has the best environment in their past that could have given them the opportunity to be their best selves. This belief stems from my own experience early in my career, where the leadership in my firm trusted me with critical roles based on the person that I am and my personality instead of focusing on my short experience. LYWO was built with this idea at its heart where personality matching to roles is given the highest importance. Cumbersome reports and complex questionnaires were replaced with intuitive processes and easy to use numbered metrics without the need to read through hundreds of pages of reports. It was created not just to screen candidates but instead to help both organizations to find their right candidates and the candidates to find their dream role. A person's professional role and career is no less important than their personal relationships for their happiness quotient and LYWO helps individuals and organizations find their best matches where they can excel and grow. Taking a quick look back at Team Ben Williams' 2023! For me, there was one major takeaway for the year: 🌐 Embracing Opportunity and Challenges: I am finding that my true growth often resides outside my comfort zone. Thought for the day: It's been a while.... because it's been busy! I took the time to sit last night and think about everyone that I have the benefit of working with and why I was determined to work here! Let's be fair, we have all trundled through Glassdoor when looking for our next venture, cringing because we have applied for the "low star" employee rated company - actually, we have all fallen for that trap. So why here?.... The team that care so much about getting it right for the business that we all work exceptionally hard and often mental hours, to get it done? And when I say we... I mean we! I have never come across anyone at 6sense who has said they can't help! - the worst is that they can't help right that second. But yet guaranteed they are offering help within the space of 4 or 5 days. And that's the secret to success. That's why we are successful - there is a magic potion: 1. The employees care 2. Everyone helps each other out 3. When things get tough, we battle through the storm - notice each other/ remember we are human 4. We believe in what we do, and aren't afraid to do what we believe 5. We imagine where not just we but everyone else is going to be in 3 months/ 6 months/ a year So as we approach FY'25 I just want to say - we did it before, we did it again and we do it better every year. Thank you team! And for those who can't relate - go find your magic potion! It's somewhere! When I was 15 years old I was absolutely sure I knew everything. When Reilly Partners turned 15 in January 2020 we were pretty sure we did too. After all, many of the most respected and successful companies in the world were regularly trusting us to help them recruit and build their leadership teams. Fast forward to today as we celebrate our 19th year in business and I’m realizing how much we didn’t know and how much we've learned over the last four years:   - We learned the deliberate, thoughtful effort it takes to effectively function as a team in a hybrid world.  - We learned how to listen more closely and ask better questions in order to understand and deliver on our client's needs.  - We learned how to attract, develop, retain, and in some cases even recruit back our own people in a hyper competitive market for talent.  - We learned the importance of adapting, evolving and working to find new solutions every singe day, in order to deliver the quality and consistency our clients demand.    The world slowed down for a bit, only to catch its breath and take off moving faster than ever. I imagine it left some behind. But at Reilly Partners, we are in a full sprint, working with many of the same world class clients who have trusted us for years, and several new ones. We are stronger, faster, smarter and better than ever.    I'm proud to have been a part of this Reilly Partners team for 15 of our 19 years - especially now, knowing the best years are ahead of us.    Thank you to each and every client who has put their trust in us.
