Osteopathy is a form of complementary medicine that focuses on diagnosing, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and strengthening muscles and joints. Osteopathy emphasises the interrelationship between the body’s structure and function, particularly how bones, muscles and joints affect the body’s overall health. Many of the hands on techniques used within clinic serve as purpose to help modulate nociception which is the sensory nervous systems process of detecting and responding to potential harmful stimuli. Coupled with lifestyle advice, movement based therapy, diet and stress reduction techniques, osteopathic intervention can help to reduce the symptoms associated with neuromuscular complaints. #osteopathy #neubie #neufitmethod

Arthritis brings debilitating foot pain and can potentially impact mobility and quality of life. While traditional treatments are valuable, exploring alternative therapies can surely offer additional support. Physical Therapy which is tailored exercises and stretches prescribed by a physical therapist can strengthen muscles, improve joint flexibility, and reduce arthritis-related foot pain, Here are some physical therapy options that one can consider: 1) Cupping Therapy: This technique uses suction cups to stimulate blood flow, reduce inflammation, and alleviate pain. Cupping therapy has shown promising results in relieving arthritis-related foot pain and improving overall well-being. 2) Dry Needling: Similar to acupuncture, dry needling involves inserting thin needles into trigger points in muscles to alleviate pain and improve mobility. It can be effective in managing arthritis-related foot pain when performed by trained practitioners. 3) Massage Therapy: Foot massages can provide relief by easing tension in muscles and improving circulation. Targeted massage techniques can alleviate arthritis-related discomfort and improve foot function. 4) Heat and Cold Therapy: Alternating between heat and cold applications can help relax inflammation and reduce pain. Warm baths or heating pads can ease stiffness, while cold packs can reduce swelling. Let me know if you are facing any difficulty or want me to address any specific foot problem in the comment section. I will try to address all your queries. #ArthritisCare #FootPainManagement #AlternativeTherapies #HolisticHealth #Podiatry #PainManagement #WellnessJourney

June is National Scoliosis Awareness Month, so take this opportunity to learn more about this condition and how you can help spread awareness. If you or someone you know has scoliosis, there are many treatment options available. Scoliosis treatment depends on the severity of the curve and the age of the patient. Here are common treatment options: 1. **Observation**: For mild cases, especially in children and adolescents, regular monitoring to check if the curve is worsening. 2. **Bracing**: Used primarily in children and adolescents whose bones are still growing. Braces don't cure scoliosis but can prevent further curvature. 3. **Physical Therapy**: Exercises to improve flexibility, posture, and muscle strength. Techniques like the Schroth method are often recommended. 4. **Chiropractic Care**: Some seek chiropractic adjustments for pain relief and improved mobility, though its effectiveness in treating scoliosis curvature is debated. 5. **Pain Management**: Medications, such as NSAIDs, to relieve pain and inflammation. 6. **Surgical Treatment**: For severe curves (typically over 40-50 degrees) or when other treatments fail. Spinal fusion is the most common surgery, where vertebrae are fused to correct the curve. 7. **Alternative Treatments**: Options like yoga, acupuncture, and massage can help with pain and flexibility but are not proven to correct the curvature. The choice of treatment depends on various factors, including the degree of curvature, the patient's age, and the presence of symptoms. Consulting with a specialist is essential to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. #scoliosis #supportscoliosisawareness #head2toechiro #physicaltherapy #chiropracticcork

✨Try Osteopathy✨ Over time, the body gradually loses its ability to self-regulate and self-heal. Some of this loss may be due to the aging process. It may be trauma, accident, illness, surgical scarring, childbirth or repetitive activity. It is also possible that it is the cumulative effects of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual stress. An osteopath is looking for any obstruction that impedes the circulation of fluids within the body. These impediments may take the form of structural or non-structural blockages. Structural or physical impediments include: Generalized twists Curves or pulls within the body Specific bones, organs or tissues that are misaligned These faults may affect fluid circulation. They may also affect the circulation of liquids along with their life-sustaining and regulatory products. Non-structural impediments often refer to our emotional patterns. These patterns are responsible for maintaining the body in a specific adaptation of defense. For example, you may have a predisposition to holding your breath. These patterns are often responses to past or present stressful incidents. Often, they are repetitive, like raising the shoulders in times of stress or cold temperatures. In most cases, the patient has had some combination of the above experiences. Although treatment may be directed toward several specific areas, the effect of that treatment is often felt throughout the body.
