🎓 3-Month Internship Completed: An Era of Growth and Learning 🎓
I’m proud (and a bit nostalgic) to share that I officially completed my 3-month internship as an Oncology Regulatory Affairs Associate Intern at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine last Friday! It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by — even handing in my laptop and returning my lanyard felt surreal.
💡 Key Skills and Insights Gained:
Reflecting on my journey, one key takeaways is the importance of learning quickly. Regulatory Affairs at J&J is a strategic, long-term function where development typically takes time. With a relatively short 3 months, I had to rapidly absorb, apply, and connect new knowledge to contribute meaningfully. It wasn’t just about completing my project; it was about understanding how my work fits into the broader picture and effectively communicating those insights.
As a result, the experience at Johnson & Johnson has equipped me with versatile skills that I can now apply across different functional areas. Guidance and expertise shared by the professionals I connected with have significantly broadened my capabilities and boosted my confidence.
🚀 What Made This Internship Special:
From the outset, I was aware of how competitive this opportunity was — being selected from a pool with a <1% acceptance rate was an incredible honor. But more than that, securing an oncology internship at such a prestigious company has been invaluable. It’s a testament to the power of proactive networking and perseverance, qualities I believe make me stand out.
🙌 A Big Thank You:
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported me along the way:
- My manager, Amjad Iqbal, for his consistent guidance and mentorship from day one.
- The placement cohort, who made this experience both productive and enjoyable.
- All the colleagues across different functions who generously shared their J&J expertise and made me feel so welcome.
This internship has been an unforgettable introduction to the corporate world, and I’m excited to carry forward the skills and experiences I’ve gained into my future endeavors. Onto the next chapter! 💫
