Here are some openings at the other side of the spectrum: associate, coordinator, and specialist. ⚡️ Legal Operations Associate at Anduril Industries: $72k–$108k ⚡️ Legal Operations Associate at EvenUp: $50k–$65k ⚡️ Legal Operations Coordinator at INSPYR Solutions: $45k–$52k ⚡️ Legal Operations Specialist at Medallia: $71k–$121k ⚡️ Senior Legal Operations Specialist at The Rockefeller Foundation: $98k–$132k ⚡️ Legal Operations Associate at Underdog Fantasy: $65k–$85k ⚡️ Senior Specialist, Legal Operations, Preferred Provider Program at The Walt Disney Company: $77k–$103k Observations: 🎓 I’m seeing true entry-level positions that we haven’t really seen before, ones where experience requirements and comp are more aligned than in recent years. 🎢 There’s a lot of variability in base salary ranges, and with many of the positions open to remote, I wonder how the lower ones will compete for good talent. 🏢 Legal ops used to be the domain of tech and finance, but no more: this list includes defense, staffing, philanthropic, and media/entertainment organizations, too. I'm often asked for a sample job description for a head of legal operations, so I've worked with some friends from Fortune 100 companies to crowdsource and create this ideal one. Scoping and positioning this role for success is critical and not easy to do. This isn't meant to be perfect, but I hope you find this document to be a useful starting point for your organization to edit as appropriate. With the current market being quieter than usual, it's understandable why there's a reluctance to commit to permanent hires within in-house legal teams. However, it's interesting to note that external counsel spend continues to rise for many clients. While ad hoc support isn't a permanent commitment, it does come at a higher cost than having a slightly larger team in-house to cover more work. Despite the difficulties in hiring at the junior level and rising costs, there is still plenty of value to be found if people are happy to be flexible in their requirements. While having an exact fit for skillset is ideal, every in-house lawyer learns on the job and develops the skills to turn their hand to most things. #legalhiring #inhouse
