Food is a fundamental right. That’s why NIF is raising urgent funds to provide humanitarian aid through World Central Kitchen and International Rescue Committee for people in Gaza who are suffering and starving. Although humaniatrian aid is not our primary strategy for change, we stepped in to help Israeli families who were displaced, grieving, and who had family members taken hostage in the brutal attack. We provided support for basic needs, needs that the government should have met; but in those terrible days, far too often, the government was nowhere to be found. Now we know that in this moment, we simply cannot ignore the ignore the desperation and suffering of civilians in Gaza today. Give today at nif.org/gazaaid and we will direct 100% of funds raised to organizations doing humanitarian aid work in Gaza.

The Crisis in Sudan and the Unseen Resilience of Mutual Aid Nearly 25mn Sudanese are in need of humanitarian assistance. Aid funding is at an all time low but a “global self-organised grassroots movement is meeting the needs of civilians on all fronts. Sudanese volunteers in the diaspora are collectively organising mutual aid efforts by fundraising…” I spoke to Fatima Qureshi on the current situation in Sudan where famine is looming, a certainty and not a probablity, if nothing is done to avert this crisis. https://lnkd.in/drrDSz2X

Normally I reserve LI posts for business matters. Feel free to mute me if you feel humanitarian posts are inappropriate here because unless there is rapid improvement, I'll be posting more about the conflict/war in Eastern Congo. I would love for someone reading this help me to understand how to put this crisis in context given all the attention shone upon Ukraine / Russia and Israel / Hamas. All are disastrous tragedies and I know it's a slippery slope to try to compare one travesty to another, however, from my limited study, the wars in the Eastern Congo by many measures (such as the number of people affected, displaced and killed) have been sited as one of the worst and longest on-going crises of all time. I'm not posting to point any fingers. As I've witnessed since 2020, blame posts have helped approximately nobody. My goal here is to simply be a voice, a cry for help, for the voiceless. I'm unsure why this longstanding and far reaching humanitarian crisis doesn't get more attention, but we can do our part. Please simply repost, comment or click the "like" or "support" button to get the word out that we as a people do care about the DRC and we want our leaders and our media outlets to care and shine light on the dark deeds of a few who cost the lives of so many. If you feel compelled to help in a deeper way, please visit www.congopeace.org to learn more and donate or donate to another reputable agency who you know is actively aiding in the region. #prayforcongo #congowar #humanitariancrisis https://lnkd.in/gYt3fVxP

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is dramatic 🆘 More than 2️⃣ million residents depend on humanitarian aid to survive. Approximately half of them are children. In the north of Gaza, the situation is particularly catastrophic: hundreds of thousands are already living in famine − the worst phase of hunger. 🚨 In addition to life-saving humanitarian aid, these actions are urgently needed: ❗ Sustained ceasefire to prevent further deaths. ❗ Humanitarian aid must be possible without restrictions. ❗ Hunger must not be used as a weapon. Famine should be avoided at any cost. ❗ We call for the immediate release of all hostages. Together with our two European partners, CESVI and Terre des hommes foundation Italy, as well as local organizations, we are delivering food and medical assistance to the #Gaza Strip, including prepared meals and specialized food for undernourished children and adults. 💚 Support through Welthungerhilfe (WHH) #Gaza #Famine #HumanitarianAid #EmergencyAid #ZeroHunger

Today marks 250 days since the onset of the genocide in Gaza. The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen, with recent news highlighting the severe shortages of essential supplies, including food, clean water, and medical care. The ongoing blockade and hostilities have made it increasingly difficult for aid organizations to deliver much-needed assistance. In a recent report, the United Nations has once again emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and to protect innocent civilians from further suffering. Despite international calls for action, the response has been insufficient, leaving the people of Gaza to endure unimaginable hardships. As we reach this significant milestone, it is crucial to raise our voices and take action. The prolonged conflict has led to daily struggles for survival for millions of people. By sharing their stories, raising awareness, and supporting humanitarian initiatives, we can contribute to a global movement advocating for peace and justice. Let us stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. Let’s amplify their voices, share their stories, and work towards a future where peace, dignity, and human rights are upheld for all. 🔴 Join hands to save my family in Gaza, Your donation makes a difference || https://lnkd.in/dWEY8_kC #Gaza #HumanRights #Peace #Justice #Solidarity #HumanitarianCrisis #Advocacy #GlobalAwareness #Genocide #UN #HealthcareCrisis

Business Performance Improvement, Change Management, Solution Based Selling, Strategy Development & Execution, CX Optimisation. Former CEO | President | NED | Chair. Open for NED, Advisory, Consulting, Interim roles.
So let's take a look at how this has unfolded: 1. Benevolent countries donate billions of dollars to Gaza via the UN for the development of Gaza. 2. Hamas spends the billions donated to Gaza on below ground tunnels through which they will attack Israel, to arm themselves, and to create millionaires within the leadership of Hamas. 3. Gazans, or Palestinians, do nothing to stop Hamas from building the tunnels. Nor does the UN and UNRWA. 4. Hamas attacks Israel and hides in the tunnels they built using the billions donated by the benevolent Western countries. 5. In their defence, Israel attempts to obliterate the terrorists tunnels. 6. Gazans, or Palestinians, are now homeless and without food or shelter. 7. The West gets accused for 'failing the innocent civilians'. 8. No apportionment of blame on Hamas for failing their people by spending money donated to the Gazans for the development of their country, and starting this catastrophic situation. The UN is useless, corrupt, biased. It is nothing more than a meaningless mouthpiece.

[#Gaza] Amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including tens of thousands of civilian deaths and shortages of food, water, and medicine, Peace Winds is working with our local staff and partners to deliver food to Palestinians in need. This includes food packages for 1,200 households, as well as the purchase and distribution of fresh vegetables from local businesses. Staff members in Gaza with Peace Winds and with our partner organizations are facing their own struggles, including dehydration from having to drink saltwater. Some have had their homes surrounded by Israeli tanks, have friends or family members who have been killed or injured, or have become refugees themselves. However, even as they do their best to keep themselves and their families safe, they can’t help but continue working to support other people in need. As the situation continues to worsen, it is expected that delivering aid will only become more difficult. However, Peace Winds will continue to use whatever means possible to help Gazans in need. Our food distribution activities in Gaza are made possible by grants from the Japan Platform and by contributions from our generous donors. We appreciate your continued support.
