We are celebrating #InternationalYouthDay all of August! This year’s theme, “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,” highlights the vital role that digitalization plays in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative was designed to foster the next generation of leaders, leveraging digital tools to bring together young changemakers around the world, amplify their authentic voices and address social issues in their local communities. Comprised of 20 young changemakers, ages 17-20, from nine Burberry Inspire partners, the Young Leaders Program provides relevant skills workshops, mentorship and learning sessions. As part of our month-long celebration, our partners at Burberry are spotlighting the Burberry Inspire Young Leaders by sharing their reflections on their journey in this program. They openly share their insights and wisdom gained from their experience. Together, we can empower young people to create sustainable solutions for our world's most pressing problems! I put women in the C-suite | North America’s Top no B.S. Executive Coach for advancing women into executive leadership.
Here's the reason why your organization is not attracting top talent ⬇️ Allow me to share this example… A woman is deciding where she wants to work: 1️⃣One organization tells her that not only do they have a proven success rate of promoting women into leadership positions, but they have programming to ensure that she feels supported… VS. 2️⃣Another organization that has no strategy around progress within the organization… Who will she want to work for? Right now, women are voting with their feet and leaving organizations because of a lack of investment, coaching, and development. It's about how your organization becomes one of the best workplaces for women. Therefore, if you need an employer branding strategy, now is the time to implement one! That strategy should include leadership development! Why? To achieve your organization's ambitious goals! Through unique women-centric programs such as LeadHERship, the women in your organization will leave feeling: ⭐Confidently visible. ⭐That their career trajectory is clearly defined. ⭐Self-assurance replace their self-doubt. ⭐That they can achieve a harmonious balance between career ambitions and personal life. ⭐They have a heightened ability to communicate and influence. ⭐They embody an authentic leadership presence. LeadHERship will substantially benefit your organization and provide continuous engagement, including crucial post-program support to the incredible women who embark on this journey. Empower, equip and elevate her. Want to know more? I've posted the link to the LeadHERship page in the comments below.

Connecting generations in the workplace | DEI, Reverse Mentoring & Gen Z | Speaker, trainer and moderator | Contact? Mail: info@inclusyoung.nl | Certified LinkedIn Top Voice 2023/2024 NextGen
Different generations: a wealth of diversity What we often seem to forget, is that having different generations and members of different ages on your team is a form of diversity. As most people know by now, having diversity (provided it is accompanied by inclusion) leads to: - More profit; - Better and more sustainable decisions; - Attracting different customers and tapping into more diverse customer pools; - Increased retention; - More vitality and fewer sick days. Having a multi-generational team, where all members are treated equitable, is proven to also have these positive side effects (and apart of the business case, it is also the right thing to do, of course). However, we oftentimes do not yet see age as a diversity factor - it is a given and we do not necessarily dwell on it. Yet age does influence how you look at the world, how you deal with things and what you find important. I see few generational experts making the link between the dimension of age/generation and diversity yet, but I know that they are intrinsically linked. This is why I am so proud and grateful that the Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations (ECWO) ís really connecting the two and that they have invited me to speak on this coming Friday during their Inclusive Leadership conference. Thank you Diane Coetzer & Dorothy Grandia. I would love to see you there! You can sign yourself up via the link in the comment section (only a few tickets left).

When was the last time someone showed up so authentically and with such vulnerability that you immediately felt atmosphere shift? From formal to informal, from "professional" to human, from objective to personal? For me, that was less than an hour ago. Right now, our first session of the Pinnacle Project is underway - this cohort of exec-ready women is being guided by the phenomenal Nabeela (Ixtabalan) Elsayed, MS, ACC, former COO of Walmart Canada, and was co-developed with Nabeela and our incredible Education Manager Meghan Newman. In the first session, Nabeela shared openly about her story of the both the opportunities and the challenges that come with executive leadership. It was powerful and inspiring. Why? Because Nabeela was willing to be authentic, deep and honest. She talked honestly about the pressure to wear a metaphorical mask at work to hide who we truly are in order to reach our ambitions. And how it doesn't have to be that way. We need more of these conversations. The premise of this career accelerator for senior leaders is that it doesn't have to be lonely at the top. Our cohort will get the chance to journey with one another, and most importantly, to cultivate deep and meaningful relationships with other women in senior leadership roles. Because we need to go deeper, we need to have safe spaces we can have these important conversations. That's what Women in Communications & Technology is all about. We come alongside employers to support their women-identifying employees by creating and cultivating authentic connections for women to grow - together.

I have an accomplishment again 😄 So here's the gist, I had to take the assessment twice, let's just say I got a little sidetracked the first time 😁 But the whole program was incredible! The best part? Seeing so many amazing women succeeding in their fields at different stages of life. These women were all so unique - some down-to-earth and approachable, while others exuded sophistication. Yet, they all shared a powerful common thread: strength and the ability to thrive despite the challenges in their fields. The module on "Developing an Executive Presence" by Uyoyo Zino Edosio resonated with me. It talked about the biases we all face - age, gender, race, etc. The key takeaway? You don't always need a fight. Sometimes, being so good at what you do makes you irreplaceable. 📌 The program also tackled imposter syndrome, which is that feeling of not belonging when you reach a higher position than you expected. 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆. Even I need to work on myself, and that's why I'm glad I could participate in the Young Women Leadership Program by the LEAP Leadership Institute . I recommend it if you want to experience a positive shift in mindset. Until next time, have an awesome week ahead👋

🌟 Amazing Women In Lindt 🌟 “Follow your passions and enjoy what you do” - Chloe Wong, Assistant Store Manager - Macquarie Park Reflecting on my journey as an Assistant Store Manager, I'm reminded of the invaluable advice I received along the way. One piece that resonates deeply with me is the importance of being a role model and showing respect to others. These values have been my guiding light, shaping not only my professional conduct but also fostering a nurturing environment within our team. As I contemplate the individuals who have inspired me on this path, two remarkable women stand out: Malu Buenaventura and Gail Parsons both my Store Managers. Malu, with her unwavering dedication, taught me the intricacies of my role from its inception, instilling in me the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement. Gail, a beacon of responsible leadership, showed me how to infuse joy into every task, making the workplace a space for growth and enjoyment. To young women embarking on their careers, I offer this heartfelt message: Follow your passions ardently and revel in the journey. Each experience, whether triumphant or challenging, is a stepping stone towards personal and professional fulfillment. If I could impart wisdom to my 15-year-old self, it would be this: Don't shy away from hard work, and never underestimate the power of self-empowerment. You possess within you the strength to overcome any obstacle and carve out your own path to success. Let's continue to uplift and support one another as we navigate the terrain of career growth, fostering a culture of empowerment and inclusivity every step of the way. Together, we can inspire the next generation of female leaders to thrive and flourish! 💪💼

More and more I notice women showing up and doing what is required for them to thrive more than ever. They’re rewriting old scripts and stories that are no longer serving them. They’re learning to soften and allow goodness to come in. They’re learning to let go. They’re learning to follow their intuition. They’re taking risks as the cost of rejection and negative perceptions. They’re doing the work. I’m especially proud of my clients who are diving deep into these areas to build a thriving life for themselves, their business/career and their family/relationships. They inspire me more than anyone. The future of women in leadership is paving their own path, with their own creative expression, in their own energy. Take a minute to celebrate how far you’ve come and give yourself permission to be supported in your continued expansion 🤍
