Giving Students The Edge They Need To Succeed
About us
At New York Edge, we believe that every student, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic backgrounds, deserves the opportunity to access their full potential and find their passions. Annually, we provide after school programs to as many as 40,000 students in over 100 schools across all five boroughs, helping them succeed in school and life and developing their leadership skills. A Whole Student Approach Students need healthy minds, bodies, and relationships, as well as creative outlets, to thrive, and New York Edge programs help them develop all four. From homework support and engaging academic activities, to sports and movement, to social-emotional learning and creative activities, our programs offer opportunities to develop in every aspect of their lives. New York Edge gives parents peace of mind that their children are safe, fully engaged, and making progress towards their goals. A Widereaching Community of Support New York Edge weaves a powerful network to support students’ development. From building partnerships with high-profile organizations like the Mets, Knicks, and Columbia University Medical School, to creating volunteer opportunities for professionals to meet and develop relationships with students, to training our staff to be empathetic and involved, New York Edge ensures that students have plenty of role models and supportive adults in their lives.

It was such an honor to be with New York Edge’s Education Specialist today at City As School. We are incredibly fortunate to have this dynamic group of educators leading the way in our schools. Big shout out to New York Edge’s curriculum development team for an outstanding training and an inspiring exchange of ideas. What a fabulous team! Next week, we’re excited to partner with Disney and First Book , where they will be giving away 40,000 books—that’s right, 40,000 to all of our sites. Proud of our team and all the amazing work they’re doing! Check out City As Schools Mural on the side of the building. #publicart #NYEdge #BookDonation #Teamwork
