Interesting exploration opportunity in Eastern Alberta

In mine exploration using muon detectors communicating together to identify changes in the bedrock to further identify the nickel orebody. With an accuracy of 95% I can imagine what this can do for underground mining resource recovery.

In outlining our 2024 plans we aim to demonstrate the economic potential of a larger scale production centre on our Nechalacho rare earths project in the Northwest Territories, Canada.   As we enter the year with a new team and a solid balance sheet, our primary focus is on maturing value of the Nechalacho rare earth project through the delivery of key exploration and development-related milestones in 2024.   Managing Director and CEO Geordie Mark commented, “Vital is on track to deliver an exciting range of milestones for the world-class Nechalacho project over 2024. We are focused on delivering the first economic study on the upper Tardiff deposit, and this will be informed by a combination of detailed geological and process flowsheet work to augment and de-risk study outcomes. The geological potential of the area remains undertested and we aim to target the expansion potential of shallow higher-grade mineralization, as well as examine undrilled lithium bearing pegmatites on the project area over the course of the year.   Vital believes Tardiff is a world-class rare earths asset, having both size and grade that offers a differential value proposition to operate at a material scale to build into a North American rare earths supply chain for multi-decades. #ORR’s fully funded, 7060m Phase 5 drill programme is ongoing at the Bakassi Zone 1 (BZ1) prospect, part of the Bibemi Gold Project in #Cameroon To date, 10 vertical holes have been drilled for approximately 1,244 metres at the main BZ1 MRE area. Samples from these holes are being prepared, with initial results expected in Q3-2024. Intersections of shallow-dipping and steeply dipping quartz and quartz-tourmaline veins show the potential for additional near-surface mineralisation within the existing open pit design limits. A further 27 holes have been planned at BZ1-MRE, focussed on expanding and upgrading the existing MRE. 25 holes are also planned at along-strike target areas BZ1-NE and BZ1-SW, where exploration to date has generated coincident geochemical and geophysical targets. #ORR has submitted an exploitation licence application (ELA) to the Cameroon Mines Ministry for review. The ELA, which is supported by various technical and economic studies, is required to secure the tenure of the licence as exploration and development activities continue.
