“I used up all my sick leave, I was constantly having to have days off, or go to doctor’s appointments. And I just felt like I wasn’t contributing the way I wanted. And I wasn’t enjoying it the way I once did, because I just wasn’t well. "It was a really hard decision. I loved my job and my newsroom, but unfortunately, the work that I was doing at the time was taking too much of a toll on me mentally and emotionally. I couldn’t battle the health side with the pressure. “To me, that was breaking point and I chose to step away.
