“Israel-occupied” Golan Heights is a term that I have seen in the media coverage about Hezbollah’s murder of 12 Druze children in Israel. Should we start speaking of US-occupied Texas? Should we start advocating for an unlimited right of return to Texas? Should we start chanting: “We don’t want two state. We want 48 (as in 1848).” Or has the US occupation of Texas been grandfathered in? Is there a statute of limitations? Inquiring minds want to know.

The more you learn about the scale of the problem and its harrowing impact on victims, the more determined you become in tackling it. It’s one of the most gruesome examples of exploitation happening across the world. The fact that it often happens in plain sight, literally next door to you should make us all think. Modern Slavery should become a compulsory element of any safeguarding training delivered to all sectors. Children should be educated as well. Spotting the signs of it isn’t that difficult. But it takes collective effort to make it as difficult as possible for the perpetrators. #modernslavery #humantraffickingawareness #exploitation #humanrightswatch
Celebrating a major victory in Smethwick – a testament to the strength of our collective efforts. Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing justice in this pivotal case. Your dedication and hard work have truly made a difference. Well done to all! Let’s keep up the momentum in our ongoing fight against modern slavery. https://lnkd.in/e3pdUCHR

David Miller @Tracking_Power What the ‘State of Israel’ wants most is to intimidate Muslims who protest against Zionist genocide in Palestine. It wants to turn the UK into occupied territory. It has succeeded in doing so among the UK's main political parties, with all of them, including the Greens and SNP, protecting Zionist beliefs by applying the IHRA definition of Judeophobia. Now it wants to take that political and media hegemony and replicate it on the streets of Britain. It is up to all of us to prevent this occupation — in the UK, in Europe and the Levant. #DismantleZionism Islamophobia incident in the UK: https://lnkd.in/dCrMiyzs

🚍 Join Moving People in the fight against Modern Slavery! 🛑 We've taken the #PLEDGE to support the PLASP Pan Lancashire Anti-Slavery Pledge Pledge at PLASP in raising awareness about this hidden crime that affects millions worldwide. Modern Slavery takes many forms, from forced labour to sexual exploitation, and it is often orchestrated by Organised Crime Groups. Victims are treated as commodities, facing hardship and misery. Sadly, this crime touches the business sector too, with forced labour sneaking into supply chains and recruitment processes. Perpetrators exploit vulnerabilities, using fear and deceit to control their victims. But together, we can make a difference. By taking the #PLEDGE, we're committing to fight back and reduce opportunities for Modern Slavery to thrive in Lancashire. Join us and take the #PLEDGE today: https://lnkd.in/eEpUUEsR Let's stand together against this injustice and #PLEDGESupport. #EndModernSlavery 🤝🌟 Calling all other Lancashire businesses to #PLEDGE your support and increase awareness of this campaign, visit the PLASP Pan Lancashire Anti-Slavery Pledge Pledge at PLASP page below; https://lnkd.in/ezXuGxZv

❗Warning the following post contains details that may be distressing. Today, we honour and remember the tragic events of the Coniston Massacre, a dark chapter in Australia's history. Between August 14 and October 18, 1928, a tragic series of events unfolded in the Northern Territory, known as the Coniston Massacre. This massacre, which resulted in the deaths of many Warlpiri, Anmatyerre, and Kaytetye people, is remembered as the last known officially sanctioned massacre. 🌱It is crucial we acknowledge, remember and learn from the past to build a future grounded in Truth, Justice, and Reconciliation. #ConistonMassacre #Reconciliation #PracticalReconciliation

Executive & Close Protection | Church Security Training | Firearms Instructor | Travel Security *NEW* | Member of SIX Society for International Executive Protection
SOFT TARGETS—Places of Worship Whether it’s Lakewood Church in Houston or a church in Sydney, places of worship are still seen as soft targets. The pastor and/or the size of your church is meaningless because people like this kid do not care! In my 15+ years of actual church security experience, I’ve come to the realization that no matter how many CCTV cameras exist, how many off-duty law enforcement you have working or how proficient security volunteers are with firearms, there will always be a way someone penetrates. Two things will decrease the panic: •LEADERSHIP BUY-IN: unless a church’s pastor and staff are willing to go the extra mile to protect parishioners by creating security teams, these events will continue to happen. •TRAINING: once said security teams are formed, there needs to be routine (and monthly) training—on more things than just Active Shooter. If a church is focused solely on Active Shooter training, then they are missing the boat. Training on soft skills as well as hard skills will win the day—and the confidence of church staff & parishioners. If there are any churches out there than need training all things chuch security AND safety, let’s talk! #churchsecurity #disasterpreparedness #softtarget
