About once a year, Blue Cactus Press launches a Kickstarter campaign for one of their books. This year, they're proud to launch a joint-Kickstarter campaign with Rebel Firm, in support of going national with the anti-racism board game, Reveal the Elephant. This game is about giving people the tools they need to talk about racism and racial equity in the workplace. It's about practicing the conversational tools we *think* we're using on the daily, but in reality, let fall to the wayside at work (and especially under the particular pressures of professional workspace). Big News- I have made the decision to pull down the current Kickstarter for Oh Noes! (a picture book for execs.) It was not an easy decision and yet it *was* an easy decision? There was never any concern about making our basic funding goal, but as we talked to some backers (including a couple companies that want to back us) we realized we actually aimed too low for what our ultimate goal is. We not only want to get this book into the world, we are hoping to make it into a series, I have already drafted books 2 and 3, under the series name FafoTales. Also, we have partnered with LaunchBoom to get more support and professional assistance in making sure we don’t just get this right, we knock it out of the park. If you have read my “grown up book” I talk about knowing when it is time to ask for help…here is proof I practice what I preach! I am SO excited on where we will be able to go with this with the help of Launchboom and all of our wonderful backers!
