Mental Health and wellbeing expert. Speaker. Facilitator of humaness. Creating ways for professionals to reduce stress and overwhelm.
Those moments when you don't really know how it will go! Thanks to City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters for including me in this year's Raising the bar event. Being able to speak about our humaning, perfectionism, expectations and have a creative exploration at The Colonist Tavern was a great way to spend a Tuesday night. Thanks to the Staff and Volunteers who generously gave their time and supported me with pipecleaners and balls everywhere!

I have been thinking about what kind of pre-end year post I wanted to write (if one at all) for a couple weeks now. Not a year in review or a one filled with gushing what a wonderful time I had in 2023 (because it has been a hard year and I really haven't had much non-pickleball fun). The biggest gifts this year (for me personally) have been lessons learned, new friends made and personal growth. No need to rehash in detail the year that was (still is) 2023 in terms of Black Buddha Cannabis but needless to say we learned a lot about ourselves, our business and the direction we want to take it in 2024 and beyond. We have been working non-stop to secure new partnerships in states like Nevada, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania (and hopefully all signed before end of 2023). We continue to discuss what expansion into new markets (Arizona, New York, New Jersey) looks like with interested partners who share a vision on what a black woman owned brand can bring to consumers. Ohio is a key state for us in 2024. We are still talking to some potential flower cultivation partners and want that finalized in Q1. I live here, know the potential that adult use has in Ohio (plus the need for a strong Medical market), and we know our brand resonates with Ohio consumers. Business aside, I am fortunate to have been able to make a ton of new friendships, solidify existing relationships and try to become a better person. We still have time to go do something great for those in need this holiday season. Donate your time, a meal, buy a kid a warm coat & gloves or go see someone who is lonely or in despair. Be safe and better yet, be kind.
