Spain offers a variety of sectors for investment, making it an attractive destination for investors. Industries like tourism, renewable energy, technology, and manufacturing contribute significantly to the country's GDP. Investing in Spain can be advantageous for several reasons, including its strategic location, stable economy, and growing green energy sector, among others. Spain is a leader in wind and solar power, providing opportunities for investment in the growing renewable energy sector. Additionally, Spain's well-developed infrastructure, skilled workforce, and high-quality lifestyle make it an ideal destination for professionals and expatriates. The Spanish government has implemented various initiatives and incentives to attract foreign investment, aiming to streamline the investment process and create a favorable business environment. However, it's crucial to conduct thorough research and due diligence before making any investment decisions. Factors such as economic conditions, regulatory environment, and market trends should be carefully considered to ensure a successful and sustainable investment in Spain. #investment #spain #goldenvisa #realestateinvestment

Next weeks is Wind Europe, Bilbao (if you haven't heard) 🌪WindEurope I will be attending with my colleague, Chris Girdlestone and we are looking forwarding to having some good conversations and meeting some of our existing connections and making many new ones too! I am looking forward to being a part of the conversation surrounding SME's and workforce skills and solutions in offshore wind and in the lead up to the event I welcome any of your thoughts on skills and funding for SME's within the industry. In full-scale, Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are a noteworthy driver of economic development, being vital to most economies across the world, particularly in developing and emerging nations. They represent 99% of all businesses in the EU. SME's are crucial for local and national economic development and play a noteworthy role in poverty alleviation, job creation and economic growth with SME's providing over 85% of new jobs in the EU in the last 5 years. However, SME's encounter many funding barriers and require a continued source of longstanding funding to invest in necessary growth opportunities. Discussions will focus on: -How do we tackle the potential funding constraints impactful to SME's and the skills of their workforce? -Community and Regional Funding Policy and Industrial policy -Regional Competitiveness -Visibility and Signposting for funding access to support SME's - Who's responsibility? If you are heading to Bilbao, drop me a message and we can discuss over some Pintxos! #windeurope #sme #hellohydro #celticsea #csp #csc #skills #regionaldevelopment #ports #offshorejobs #offshoreskills #marinejobs #marineskills #renewables #netzero #energysecurity #energytransition Hydro Energy Group

Aquatera’s Japan Liaison Consultant, Associate Yuka Johnston, and Director Ian Johnstone have arrived in Miyakojima, Okinawa, Japan to investigate potential for marine renewable energy production and more efficient use of energy in island contexts. 🌊 🏝 Following a successful round of meetings in Tokyo covering offshore wind and blue economy infrastructure, the team headed for the tropical waters of Japan’s Southern island chain, where Ian (pictured) inspected some of the shallow water habitats around Miyakojima. 🐠 Miyakojima is endeavoring to become an example in Japan as an Eco-Island and a place where the ecosystem, tourism sector and sustainable energy production all compliment each other, as well as reducing the cost of living for local people, reducing their carbon footprint, and creating high-value direct and indirect jobs. These are all similar to the issues Orkney is working towards and therefore Ian and Yuka will be discussing opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge across the hemisphere. 🌏 ➡ Next week Ian and Yuka will be participating in a conference looking at sustainable island development options. 🚀 I help IT professionals to advance their career or land a dream job by improving their English communication and soft skills in 10 Weeks or Less | TESL Degree in Canada 🇨🇦 | Check Out My Testimonials 👇
❌There’s one thing that can make you sound rude in English It is answering questions with very brief responses. For instance, if someone asks, "Where are you traveling?" and you reply, "to Spain," it may come across as impolite. 🤓To sound more engaging, add a bit more detail, such as, "I'm traveling to Spain next month for a conference on renewable energy.” See how much better it sounds? 💯Now, let’s make it sound even more polite by adding one more detail. 🛫"I'm traveling to Spain next month for a conference on renewable energy. I'm really looking forward to exploring Barcelona." This not only sounds more courteous but also opens up the conversation and shows your enthusiasm for the trip. 🚀 I share communication tips to help tech professionals speak English at work more confidently and advance their careers ☕️ Reach out to have a chat with me about your goals. Looking forward to meeting with you! #businesscommunication #englishcoach #englishskills

🌟 The highlights of Proximo Latin America 2024 are in! Proximo returned this year to the LatAm hub of Miami gathering the most important infra and energy development and finance leaders. We saw vitally important conversations with fellow experts in the sector to explore the role of private and institutional capital in supporting the development, expansion, and decarbonisation of Latin America’s energy, transport, and social infrastructure sectors. 👉 Top takeaways from this year's event: ▪ There is renewed interest in Mexico given the upcoming elections, however, higher interest rates, inflation, and political instability negatively affected deal flow in some regions throughout Latin America ▪ Energy transition continues to dominate conversations in the energy sector, covering everything from eFuels through critical mineral mining in the region; highlighting the immense amount of opportunities available to the savvy investor. ▪ Solar-plus-storage projects are becoming increasingly popular in markets like Chile, partly as a means of mitigating curtailment risk ▪ EV fleet deals are becoming more popular in markets such as Colombia, which have seen several e-bus financings in recent years 🔐 Full video sessions are unlocked exclusively for subscribers. Discussions with our partners in #Brussels are ongoing - we talk energy data spaces, new business models, and how energy, utilities, transport and telecom sectors come together in the vision of energy transition towards decarbonised, transparent and competitive European industry.
🚀🌿 Innovative Solutions with Begonia Project! 🌿🚀 🔋 Tackling the intermittency of renewable energy sources and their impact on the grid as well as cross border commute and charging of electric vehicles🔋 Project #BEGONIA is an #EnergyDataSpaces project underpinning development of Operational Digital Platforms (ODPs) to support cross-sector issues involving energy, transport and telecom sectors. This is especially crucial in cross-country scenarios where the current traditional solution to the problem can be very costly and difficult. 🌍💰 Let's look at a commute I am personally familiar with. Schengen has opened the borders for free market, including labour market to flourish in EU. For instance, there are commuters traveling from Slovakia 🇸🇰, Hungary 🇭🇺 or even Slovenia 🇸🇰 to Austria 🇦🇹 often on a daily basis for work as Austria serves as an economic hub of CEE region. These drivers have very different charging and commute patterns than their typical city-bound counterparts who go to work and charge overnight at home. How can we support them, while reducing emissions and helping them save money? One of our proposed scenarios in #BEGONIA we are looking at, observes critical factors affecting energy production (such as weather patterns) 🌦️ and energy consumption (like peak commuter traffic hours) 🚗. Using machine learning algorithms, we predict the impact of these factors, enabling better optimization on both the production and consumption sides. 📊🤖 Together with our partners in BEGONIA and in Blueprint we have been discussing: 🔹 Development of ODPs that underpin smart, sustainable, and scalable EV charging solutions, facilitating seamless cross-border mobility for EV users. 🔹 Incorporation of smart charging technology and renewable energy to alleviate the strain on electrical grids. 🔹 Implementing different pricing models in cross-border regions, including dynamic pricing models to make new services accessible and economical.
