Sometimes you just need the basics explained clearly....and Tate + Co's Nikita Schweizer has done just that for our Knowledge Hub, writing a piece which explains what Embodied Carbon is, and compares what 'business as usual' looks like compared to the RIBA Climate Challenge 2030 and LETI Guidance. As we make our buildings more efficient Embodied Carbon is becoming more and more important. When you start measuring it, it informs decisions like whether or not you retain and refurbish or demolish a building (ie: the debate about the Oxford Street M&S).
