The best IT salaries in Europe are in Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands. Despite this, each of these 3 countries has a lower median than the worst-performing areas in the US. We've got data from 2023 here, and it'll be interesting to see how this looks in 2024 and 2025, which seem like they're gonna be crisis years in the IT industry, with fewer job offers and a general slowdown. These lower salaries in Europe might actually be a good thing for us. As companies try to save money, they might move more tech jobs to Europe, which could help grow our tech industry. #SoftwareDevelopment #SoftwareEngineering #TechIndustry #IT #ITIndustry #TechTrends #ITTrends #ITJobs #TechJobs #FutureOfIT

🌍 How to Ensure Success for Foreign Employees in Your Workplace 🌍 Many Danish companies are increasingly relying on foreign labor. However, it's crucial that both the leaders and the workplace are well-prepared to ensure success. Else Christensen, founder of Relocare has been assisting foreign workers in integrating into the Danish labor market for over a decade. 📈 According to a recent analysis by the Labour Movement’s Business Council Arbejderbevægelsens Erhvervsråd (AE), sectors like agriculture, hotels, and restaurants are particularly reliant on foreign workers. The number of foreign employees has been rising since the financial crisis, with a record 318,000 full-time foreign employees in Denmark in 2023. 👉 But attracting and retaining foreign talent requires effort from Danish workplaces. Else Christensen emphasizes the importance of engaging with foreign employees’ personal lives to help them settle in successfully. Here are Else Christensen's top five tips for employers looking to hire foreign workers: Look for Candidates in Specific Countries: Research where your international competitors are and consider the political and economic situations in those countries. For example, due to political changes, skilled professionals in Turkey and recent layoffs in Ireland might make candidates from these regions more interested in relocating to Denmark. Discuss Net Salary: When discussing salary, focus on the net salary (after tax) rather than the gross amount to avoid confusion and ensure clarity for the foreign employee. Provide Relocation Assistance: Help with practical aspects of moving, such as finding housing and understanding local amenities. This support can significantly ease the transition for your new employees. Cultural Integration: Offer cultural training and social integration programs to help foreign employees feel more at home and connected to their new environment. Ongoing Support: Continually support your foreign employees, both professionally and personally, to ensure their long-term satisfaction and retention. At Relocare, we specialize in facilitating the seamless integration of foreign employees into Danish workplaces. Read more about our approach and the success stories we've helped create in this insightful article from Vigeur : https://lnkd.in/dBBzbfZ6 Let’s continue to foster inclusive and thriving workplaces together! #Relocare #GlobalWorkforce #Integration #DanishWorkplace #HR #InternationalRecruitment #EmployeeSupport

European companies first hiring in the us typically have this in common. Their salary expectations are generally too low. Considerably too low in some situations. Why? Most don’t consider the wide “cost of living” swings from city to city in the U.S., the fact that major markets can have very dense populations and accompanying salary competition, and compensation structures/employment agreements are generally different and can vary greatly. If you are standing up a presence in the U.S. and seem unable to convert U.S. resources, we should talk. I spent most of my career working for international companies, prior to starting my agency, and work with many currently expanding to the U.S. Happy to chat if you're running into resistance with your first few hires. Full-time or fractional can be a good choice but depend greatly on your strategy.
