Tamilnadu State Level Wind, Solar Power Forecasting & Scheduling and Qualified Coordinating Agency (QCA)
The International Research Institute for Climate and Society has issued its seasonal climate forecast for the coming four seasons. During July 2024, weakly positive sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies persisted over the central-eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean, leading to a NINO3.4 anomaly index value of +0.21 °C. The weekly-averaged SST anomalies in the NINO3.4 region were 0.0 °C for the week centered on Aug 07, 2024. This indicates an ongoing ENSO-neutral state in the equatorial Pacific Ocean. According to the early-August CPC ENSO forecast, ENSO-neutral is expected to continue for the next several months, with an onset of La Niña during Sep-Nov, 2024 (66% chances). The Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) index is currently neutral. The North Atlantic Ocean continues to exhibit persistent warm SST anomalies that are forecast to continue for the next couple of months, while the Indian Ocean Dipole is forecasted to remain in the neutral state. #ENSO #IOD #iri #wind_energy #solar_energy #Tamilnadu #Weather #climate

Many different kinds of bacteria that are known to make people sick have been found in insects including E. coli and Campylobacter. In addition to these bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi are also possible forms of biological contamination. There is a potential to develop serious allergic reactions to edible insects. For example, people who suffer from seafood allergies should avoid edible insects. Many insects are eaten whole, they are especially vulnerable to chemical contamination. Pesticides, toxic metals and dioxins are some chemicals that are of concern with insect consumption. DO NOT CONSUME ANY INSECTS OF ANY KIND
This is what the younger generations are being taught: that to “save the planet,” they have to eat insects. Folks, there is no future. https://lnkd.in/e_DnZKKt

Groundwater flooding is under-researched. To respond to this, Project Groundwater is supporting three Master's students at University of the West of England in completing their dissertations on topics related to Project Groundwater. Between them, they are covering topics such as community engagement, mental health, and looking at the future of groundwater levels with our changing climate. 🔗 To read about Rachel, Natasha, and Tanith's research, head to our website via the link below!
