Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft

If you're starting as a software engineer, you're undoubtedly looking for an efficient way to land a job. Fortunately, there are many awesome people that you can learn from in how they made progress in their careers. Heck yes, social media! One thing you might be missing though -- their journey is not yours. It sounds obvious, but you need to remember this. Even if you try to replicate them, your journey will be uniquely yours. And it's not wrong if it's different. - Tech landscape changes - Your values may be different - Timing might not be the same - Your priorities may be different - Your environments might be different - You - Are - Different! And that's totally cool. It's GOOD that you're different. Being unique is what's going to help you stand out. But keep in mind as you continue in your career journey as a software engineer... You can learn from the experiences of others but you'll be forging your own path. You'll do great 💪 ---- 📨 Sign up for my email newsletter! 🗣️ Share with your network! #CareerAdvice #CareerGrowth #SoftwareEngineering
