If you hire great people then you have to be comfortable that they are going to be in demand and they might leave. The way I think about this is to think that if someone is good enough to work on my Finance team then they are good enough to work at any company. This also holds for my operating teams e.g. Real Estate & Facilities, Corporate IT and Corporate Security. I'm doing a retained search for a Fractional Accounting & Finance Services company ("Backbone CFO"). When I tell candidates about this Accounting/Finance Manager position, I'm amazed at the number of them who have no or very little knowledge about the existence of this rapidly growing business model. • This space is creating great career opportunities. The space is especially growing in 2 business functions: 1) Accounting & Finance and 2) Human Resource. These are two functions that are involved in two key aspects on any business--1) money and 2) people, regardless of industry, size, geographical, etc.

They will have more in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, handle financial reporting, and oversee the team. A CFO is a more strategic role.
