VW ID4 82kWh Battery https://lnkd.in/eBtyee3y Quite a few metrics around this 82kWh battery as part of our benchmark series and drive to collect all of the data together and share. 💡 The pre-charge function of the battery pack is done by the DC-DC converter that operates between the HV battery and the 12V battery. This DC-DC can operate bi-directionally and hence can lift the system voltage to that of the battery pack prior to closing the main contactors. #batterypack #vw #ev #batterytechnology

An odd place to position the pre-charge circuit in my opinion (normally I would place it in parallel with one of the main contactors within the battery pack itself). However, I haven't seen the details of the full system configuration and circuit arrangement.

Great inside. WV is however using multiple of different cell providers so not all cells come for LG. This also explains different charging curves for different models e.g. GTX vs normal.
