Blending Hydrogen and RNG into Canadian Natural Gas Transmission Pipelines seems to be a viable option.  Hydrogen and renewable natural gas (RNG) mixtures can help the industry make strides towards lower carbon energy. But how does it work? Simple. Hydrogen and RNG are added to natural gas pipelines, decreasing the carbon footprint of emissions. The result? Lower emissions without requiring costly pipeline replacements. Studies have also shown these blends to be safer, more cost-effective, and more reliable than pure hydrogen pipelines.   The innovation in this industry never ceases to amaze me! #hydrogen #RNG

Our last speaker in our second session is Richard Hakeem, Director of Safety and Technical Policy at Liquid Gas UK, speaking on the future of liquid gas in the UK. He said: "We need to develop the industry as we now need to introduce chemists and scientists into the mix. "We use LPG today as it's low carbon, versatile, efficient and has renewable-ready infrastructure. "Our 2040 pathway provides tangible successes from the industry to achieve the goal of becoming 100% renewable by 2040. Today, EMGF SG Osama Mobarez participated in a panel discussion at Gastech 2023 titled “New business and regulatory structures to lead the energy transition”. During the panel SG Mobarez highlighted the important role of #gas in the #Energytransition and emphasized the East Med focus on Producing more gas and expanding infrastructure to meet future energy demand in a more responsible and sustainable way.
