Great outcome from the #OurCity2030 Social Mobility roundtable. Explored how organisations like upReach UWE Bristol Employer Engagement Team Bristol Future Talent Partnership Inclusive Futures CIC #ACH Babbasa Empire Fighting Chance Resurgo Spear Bristol Arup Hargreaves Lansdown Bristol City Office (Bristol One City) Bristol City Council can collaborate to deliver greater Social Mobility in Bristol through collaboration. When social mobility it high, it means people can move up the social and economic ladder, regardless of their starting point. This leads to a more dynamic and diverse workforce, reduces inequality, fosters a greater sense of social cohesion, community well-being and contribute to the overall growth and stability within the city.

We had some interesting discussions last week at the social mobility roundtable for #OurCity2030 led by Poku Pipim Osei FRSA and Nina Skubala. The importance of getting people together in one room can never be underestimated, particularly for a multi-organisation, place-based approach like this. It was useful to map out support pathways, share challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration with Jess Woodsford, Xavier Baker, Maria Vitale, Nathan Ingram, Sangeetha Wynter, Molly Byrne, Martin Bisp, Siobhan Denniff and others. It's encouraging to see a genuine willingness to work together around our shared goals and establish how we can promote social mobility and meaningfully support underrepresented young people in the city. #OurCity2030 #socialmobility #socialimpact
