Aerobits discusses the features and applications of the company's DRS-1 Dual-Band Receiver Station, the GS2L Ground Station, and the idME PRO advanced Remote ID device > > https://hubs.la/Q02Jnx-T0 Remote ID ground receivers, DRS and GS2L, play a crucial role in enhancing airspace safety and security. These systems can detect and process Remote ID signals from UAVs equipped with Aerobits idME series modules or other available modules, which broadcast identification and location data using BLE and Wi-Fi technologies. Aerobits' solutions, including the newest DRS-1 and idME PRO, are designed to address the current limitations in UAV autonomy and to facilitate the transition from UAV to more autonomous operations. Excited to share that our latest research paper "Freshness-in-Air: An AoI-Inspired UAV-Assisted Wireless Sensor Networks" has been accepted for publication in ICT Express journal! The paper explores how unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can improve the performance of wireless sensor networks, particularly in urban environments and emergency situations, using the Age of Information (AoI) metric. Our findings suggest that UAVs can significantly enhance the freshness of information in these networks, which is crucial for applications like smart city monitoring and disaster response. We've developed new models that could help optimise the deployment of UAV-assisted networks in the future. Thanks to supervisors Prof. Dush Nalin Jayakody and Prof. Marko Beko for their guidance on this project. We're looking forward to seeing our work in print and hope it contributes to advancements in this fast-growing field.
